How the 14-Day Free Trial of Beachbody on Demand Works – Updated 2021 Prices

beachbody on demand free trial offer

Chances are you’ve probably heard the radio ads about texting a number to receive your free trial of Beachbody On Demand. I always found this ad a little confusing, because it mentioned you’d get access to the 21 Day Fix workout program in addition to the P90X and Insanity programs.

The confusion was that the 21 Day Fix program was considered a “featured program,” meaning you had to upgrade your membership or purchase the program separately to gain online access. I’m guessing this was an oversight, but luckily today, that has all changed.

That’s because as of June 1, 2017, the Beachbody On Demand free trial offer includes access to every single Beachbody workout program ever produced.

The 14-day free trial offer to Beachbody On Demand is a no-credit-card-charge promotion. There are no hidden costs with this promotional offer, but I still wanted to take the time to write a complete breakdown of exactly how the trial works.

Post has been updated to reflect the new 2021 price increase on select Beachboy On Demand membership options explained below.

Did Beachbody Change the Terms of the Free Trial?

Yes, there are two significant changes that went into effect on June 1, 2017:

  1. The Beachbody On Demand went from a 30-day free trial to a 14-day free trial.
  2. New/featured programs are now available to free trial members as well.

You Now Get Access to All Workouts with the Free Trial

You used to not be able to access the featured programs and new releases with the free trial of Beachbody On Demand.  That meant almost every Beachbody program released in the last couple years was not available.

On June 1, 2017, this changed. Now all programs, including the previous “featured programs” like the 21 Day Fix, PiYo, 22 Minute Hard Corps, CIZE and new releases like Core De Force, YOUv2 and Country Heat, are now available during the free trial period. You all also get access to any new programs released throughout the year.

The Free Trial Includes More Than Just Workouts

Beachbody workout programs are not just about the workouts. The reason the programs work for people is that these workout programs cover everything including a comprehensive nutrition plan, meal plans, and workout calendars.

You get access to all of the:

  • Nutritional guides
  • Quick start guides
  • Workout calendars
  • Progress trackers

Basically, everything that would come with a physical program purchase is available in digital format during the free trial. You can also track workouts and create custom meal plans based on foods you like with your account.

How the 14-Day Free Trial Offer Works

If you started the Beachbody On Demand free trial offer today, your credit card would not be charged until 14 days have passed.

Example of when credit card would be charged with Beachbody On Demand 14-Day Free Trial

If using a web based calendar like google calendar, adding a reminder for a couple days ahead of time will help you remember when your trial is up.

How to Sign Up for the Free Trial Offer

I started this article talking about the radio ad and about texting to get the free offer. This works fine. You’ll receive a link to accept and claim the offer.

You can also go directly to Team Beachbody and select the 3-Month Standard Beachbody On Demand Membership. This page also includes four other purchasing options (which we will discuss below) that come with a 30-day money back guarantee, but you will be charged immediately.

The one you want to select is located on the bottom right of this Team Beachbody page (see the image below.)

Beachbody On Demand Costs After the Trial Period Ends

Billing is not my favorite subject as it often gets a little confusing, but I will try my best to explain how it works without writing a novel length explanation.

After the 14-days, you are automatically enrolled into a quarterly membership of Beachbody On Demand. Beachbody offers 3 membership types to Beachbody On Demand.

  • 3-Month, also referred to as a quarterly membership
  • 6-Month
  • 12-Month, also known as the All-Access Annual Pass

Beachbody on Demand Quarterly Membership billing example:

January 1, 2019

April 1, 2019

July 1, 2019

October 1, 2019

The 6-month membership is charged once every 6 months. The Annual-Access Pass is charged just once a year. All memberships require no obligation to stay subscribed, meaning you can cancel easily at anytime and not be charged.

For reference, with a Beachbody On Demand annual membership you are going to save about $57 dollars a year over quarterly billing.

You can also upgrade your account to the Beachbody On Demand annual membership or the 6-month billing. This can be done by going to your My Account page on Beachbody On Demand. Then you will go the Manage Membership area, then “Click for more details” under the subscription that you want to manage.

2021 Beachbody On Demand Price Increase

While the free trial of Beachbody On Demand remains the same, effective February 1, 2021 the price of the Beachbody quarterly membership(3-month) increased from $39 to $59.85. The price of a 6-month membership increased from $59 to $77.70.

Good news here is the annual membership(12-month) remains the same at $99 a year.

How to Cancel the Beachbody On Demand Free Trial and Not Get Charged

I would cancel at least 3 days early to make sure your cancellation request is processed correctly. I believe you will still have access to the programs for the remainder of your trial period.

To cancel the Beachbody On Demand free trial, you must contact Beachbody customer support via online chat or  via phone: (800) 470-7870. Memberships can now be upgraded to a different type or cancelled under the My Profile > My Orders links for in Beachbody On Demand.

Be sure to have the email address you used when signing up available when you cancel. Your customer account number or order number may also be required. The same procedure above applies to canceling any membership.

What if you miss the 14-day window and your card gets charged?

I would still recommend calling and explaining what happened. Beachbody is all about customer satisfaction, so it is worth a try to find out if they would refund. Just call asap.

Hopefully this review of the Beachbody On Demand free trial offer has answered any questions you might’ve had.

But if not, please leave a comment below if you have any other questions or feel something else should be added to this post. Thanks!

  1. Once you sign up , can you opt out of all the extra features such as the coach and other promotional features. I just want the workouts. Can this be managed under my account settings. Thanks Bethany.

    1. Yes, you can hide your contact details to not receive emails or coach correspondence. The settings are under My Account > My Preferences. Bethany

  2. Hi, just trying to figure out if I get to keep using the free 14-day trial even if I decide to upgrade to an annual membership (before the free trial ends)? Would the new annual billing start *after* the 14 days, or would the free trial just be immediately canceled with the new annual billing starting right away? I looked on the beachbody site and can’t find the answer to this anywhere! Thanks :)

    1. I believe you would be charged for the annual membership and the free trial would end if you subscribe to the annual during the 14-day trial. Not sure but suspect you would still get the 30-day money back guarantee that comes with an annual membership.

    1. Hi PJ, Yes, if you put in a coach’s id number or go through a referral link, then that coach will be credited for the signup. Everyone, unless they opt out gets a coach assigned so it is typically better if you are going to sign-up for a free trial to go with someone that you know or trust to help you the most instead of a randomly assigned coach. Bethany

    1. Go to My Account and then Manage My Membership select the order you want to cancel by clicking on Click for Details. Hope that helps. You can also contact customer support I believe.

      1. I’m seven days into my free trial, but confused if what I have access to now will be the same after my first payment. I have read a few things on this and still confused by what I will actually have access to with membership. Thanks

      2. Hi Sanya, The 14-day bod trial is a full access trial so you get all of the same benefits as you do with paid. Bethany

    1. Hi Haleen, Great question! You can upgrade your Beachbody On Demand membership by logging into your Team Beachbody account on teambeachbody.com, clicking my account > my orders > and the Click for details under the order that you want to manage. Bethany

      1. Hi Mike, I have it, I just signed up for the yearly at $99. The yearly does come with a 30-day money back guarantee so it kind of like a trial. If you did the 14-day trial that automatically goes to being billed quarterly but you can upgrade to the yearly at just $99. To do that you just login to your Beachbody On Demand account and click My Account and then go to Payment & Membership. Then go to Click for details on your subscription service to manage it. Bethany

      2. Awesome. I started the trial this week to try LIIFT4. Wasn’t sure if I’d like it with having to switch weights as fast as possible with selec-techs. But it’s not so bad. I probably will end up signing up for 6 months or a year.

  3. What if i decide to cancel the trial and do the 1 year Beachbody On Demand subscription at the end of that period instead of the 3 month? Any ideas?

    1. Hi Megan, You can upgrade or change your membership subscription to a yearly at any time by going to the “My Account” page link, then to “Manage My Membership” page, there you can make changes. Hope that helps.

    1. Hi Mindy, You would need to be able to use online to access the workouts. There is no limitations with the free trial. Bethany
