Did you know that people who set and track goals are 10 times more likely to succeed than those who don’t? That’ i’s why I created these printable weight loss trackers you can download below.
Yes, you could try to keep track of your weight loss efforts in your head, use an app, or a spreadsheet. But the fundamental process of pen to paper is what I’ve created to help keep more people on track. From my experience, it’s more motivating and a lot more effective when you actually get to track your weight loss journey on paper and visually see yourself reaching your goals.
This method of tracking gives you a clear and concise way of knowing whether you’re on the right track or if you need to tweak your diet or fitness routine to continue making progress. It might seem like an old method but tracking with printables really does work. plus then, you have no excuses not to give it a try with my no-email-necessary downloads below.
The Benefits of Using Printable Weight Loss Trackers
Some of you might be thinking why on earth you’d ever want to opt to using a pen and paper when tracking your weight loss over when you can just use an app or some other electronic device.
Here are just a few reasons of the reasons pintables are better.
- Printables are tangible. Using a physical copy that you can hold and touch an experience that is more memorable and engaging than a tracker that is stored on a virtual cloud somewhere.
- Printables reduce your screen time. You don’t need to be connected to any device to use printables. I try to go screen free the last hour of the night before bed and using printables lets me take a break from the screens while also staying on top of my goals.
- Printables improve focus. If you are like me it is easy to get distracted on my computer with social media. rintables take away the dings and notifications so we can focus and be present when tracking your progress.
- Printables are visually motivating. I keep a list of my goals or projects where I can see them everyday and I suggest you do the same with the weight loss tracker you choose. Being able to take a quick glance at the progress you’re making (remembering that even the smallest steps are steps in the right direction!) is the perfect way to stay motivated, keep you accountable and connected to your goals.
Those are the few of the main reasons that I prefer printable trackers over apps, but I understand that everyone has their own personal preferences when it comes to visually tracking your goals. That’s why I came up with 5 different weight loss trackers for you to choose from. They range from pretty simple to a few that can track a little more detail.
I always recommend you to take a look at the ones below or give a couple a try to find what works best for you and your individual goals.

How to Use These Weight Loss Trackers Effectively
I feel like the trackers are pretty self-explanatory, but here are a few tips to using them more effectively:
- Print them out! While there are ways to fill them in online. The gratification you will feel seeing the printable and tracking it by hand makes it more real and attainable.
- Hang your weight loss tracker up somewhere you will see it every single day! This helps you stay accountable and provides you with a little extra motivation on those days when you just won’t feel like working out or eating healthy.
- Use your favorite colors to fill them in! While you can always use pencil if you’re the type who likes to be able to edit, it’s always more fun to use a favorite color or even different colors. Hello rainbow colored unicorn, anyone?
- In the trackers without dates, include your weekly weigh-in dates. This is helpful in knowing if your calories need to be tweaked if you find you’re not losing weight or gaining weight for more than a week or two.
