Shakeology, a nutritional supplement that was first introduced to the market 17 years ago (officially released in 2009), is finally hitting retail store shelves on May 18, 2026 – in a very limited rollout.
But is it a good thing? I would say yes mostly, since it can be more convenient if you need to grab some quickly. Just grab a bag and get started.
However, there are a few important things you should know before deciding whether to buy Shakeology in stores or order Shakeology online. Things to consider like the different pricing, serving size containers, flavors, and savings that you can only use online.
What is Shakeology?
Shakeology is a superfood nutrient-dense all-in-one nutrition shake meant to fill in any nutritional gaps in your diet. It was actually one of if not the first “superfood” shakes to hit the market.
This is one of those shakes designed to help those who even think they’re eating perfectly. Because most of the time, there are still nutrients we’re missing.
As you can see, Shakeology isn’t a typical protein shake. Most typical protein shakes are designed to help you increase the amount of protein in your diet while limiting the amount of calories to do so.
Here are couple of the supplement facts labels to help you get a better understanding:

As you can see, Shakeology has a unique list of ingredients and a nutritional profile. You can read more about the ingredients and nutrition here if you really want to dive deep into the nutritional aspect.
What Stores Shakeology is Now/Will be Available At
With a public release date of May 18th, Shakeology will be available at these stores to begin with:
- Sprouts Farmers Market
For me, the closest Sprouts is about an 8-hour car ride – so not very. Not overly convenient for me, but the initial rollout will be available at about 80 stores. Maybe you’ll be more lucky than me!
Late in 2026, Shakeology is set to become available at 640 Vitamin Shoppes nationwide. I will continue to update this post as it becomes available in more stores. But I hear it may be available in over 30,000 locations in the not-too-distant future.
What Flavors of Shakeology Will be Available in Stores?

Along with its limited initial rollout to stores, the amount of Shakeology flavors and formulas will also be more limited in stores.
Available in-store Shakeology flavors and formulas:
- Chocolate Whey
- Chocolate Vegan
- Vanilla Whey
- Vanilla Vegan
For comparison, you get a lot more options available online. You get:
- Chocolate, Whey or Vegan
- Vanilla, Whey or Vegan
- Cookies & Creamy, Vegan
- Cafe Latte, Vegan
- Tropical Strawberry, Vegan
As you can see, there are three less flavors available to you in stores to at least begin. Which to me is a little disappointing as my favorite flavor Cookies & Creamy and Tropical Strawberry won’t be available.
I feel the multiple flavor options available are what set Shakeology apart from some of the comparable shakes on the market. I’m guessing and hoping the in-store release of Shakeology will have more and more flavors as time goes on.
How In-Store Pricing Compares to Ordering Shakeology Online
The biggest difference between buying Shakeology in stores vs ordering Shakeology online is the bag size. In stores, you’re only going to get the option of a 7-serving bag size. Online, you have the choice of ordering a 30-serving bag for $129.95 or a box of 14-single serving packets.
Pricing is also going to be a little more expensive in stores from what I see now. The cost of a 7-serving bag is set to be $34.99. Online 30-serving bags are $129.95 and the 14-single serving packets are $69.95.
Check out this pricing and serving chart to make it clear.
| Feature | Retail Store (Sprouts) | Online (BODi.com) |
| Bag Size | 7 Servings | 30 Servings |
| Price | $34.99 | $129.95 |
| Price with Discount Code | N/A | $110.45 (with code BETHANYS4BODI) |
| Cost Per Shake | $5.00 | $3.68 |
The chart above uses discount code: BETHANYS4BODI to get 15% off your online purchase on BODi, the official online store of Shakeology. You can usually combine that code with other sales and events to get it even cheaper.
How to Claim your Free BODi Trial from Your In-Store Purchase
One benefit of purchasing Shakeology in stores that I have not seen being discussed much online is that with an in-store purchase of Shakeology, you’re going to be able to access a free trial of BODi.
My BODi review is a detailed guide of the on-demand streaming workout platform that includes workouts like P90X, INSANITY, and the 21 Day Fix. I don’t have any more details on that right now, but you can also sign up for a free trial of BODi with any online purchase of Shakeology too.
Conclusion
To me, I think Shakeology being available in stores is a great place to start if you’ve never tried Shakeology before. A monthly membership at BODi costs $19/mo, so getting a possible month free is a nice bonus.
But if you’re looking for savings, more flavor options, more formulas and a bigger container size, you are definitely going to want to continue purchasing online still. At least for now.

No, not as of May 2026.
Yes, an in-store purchase of Shakeology gives you access to BODi online streaming workouts for free in trial format. You can also get a free trial online without the Shakeology, but it’s great if you’re looking to try both.
