Shakeology is now a staple in my diet. When I took a break from drinking it daily from boredom of the same recipe, I could literally see that my skin did not look as colorful.
To prevent myself with getting bored of the same old flavor, I like to constantly try new Shakeology recipes and flavors. The following are 101 Shakeology I have found from around the web and bit of trial and error – here the best of the best are divided into the four flavors: Chocolate, Tropical Strawberry, Greenberry, and Vanilla. While you may not love every single one, there are bound to be some that taste so good, it feels like you’re being bad. :)
Shakeology Recipe Tips
If you’re looking for more of a smoothie texture, then feel free to add 1/2 to 1 cup of ice to any of the following recipes or even nonfat plain frozen yogurt for a summery treat. I also always try to have at least two different flavors of Shakeology in my kitchen. That way, I don’t get sick of one flavor for the entire month.
Always try to use the most natural ingredients you can find, including pure maple syrup or various types of milk without any added sugars. You can also swap out any of the ingredients for something you would enjoy more…that’s what I like to do :) It’s amazing what you can come up with!

The youngest of the Shakeology flavors, this one is perfect for those looking for a more subtle flavor. The following are my favorite recipes to enjoy the new Vanilla Shakeology – all you need to add to each is one serving of it:

Can you use ice cream instead of ice?
I don’t think icecream is a replacement for ice nutritionally but if you are looking to add calories I guess you could try. Bethany
Thank you for sharing all these recipes. I tried the mint chocolate tonight and it was a bit strong. I think 1/2 or maybe even a 1/4 tsp of the mint extract would do it for me. I can’t wait to try more!
You’re welcome, Kendall. I updated the post to a 1/4 tsp, a full one does seem a little much. Bethany
Here are some delicious recipes for Cafe Latte shakeology
MUddyNutty Buddy
1/2 cup Almond milk
1/4 medium banana
1/2 cup water or crushed ice
2tsp all natural peanut butter
Mocha coca Latte
1/2 cup of almond milk
1/2 cup of coconut water
2 tsp Shredded coconut
Thanks for sharing! I still need to try this flavor. Bethany
My favorite is the Vanilla Vegan. In Vitamix put 1 1/2 cups water (or unsweetened almond milk), one whole apple cored and quartered, one tsp of matcha powder. I’ll also add 1/2 frozen banana if this is a complete meal replacement. This is so delicious. I’ll also add some cinnamon if I want a little extra kick.
Sounds pretty tasty! Thanks for sharing!
What is the average calorie range– for Vanilla Shakeology–I realize
it depends on ingredients added?
Hi Mark, Vanilla is 130 calories. You could use an app like Myfitnesspal or Calorieking to calculate the added ingredients. Bethany
Ive been cutting out the water and adding some yogurt (flavor varries on shake flavour). What a world of difference. Sooo good.
Hi Derek, Thanks for sharing! Are you using greek yogurt?
My favorite way to use the greenberry is 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup water, cantelope – a handful of chunks, 3 kale leaves, 1/2 cup ice in a blender – my favorite morning meal!
Hi virginia, That sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing. Bethany
Hi! These recipes all look great! Do you have any fir the caffe latte flavor?
Hi Shelly, I’ve not tried that flavor yet, but when I do I will put together a list of recipes. Thanks for the idea, Bethany
Which containers would you check off for Vanilla Almond? I see you add one tablespoon of almond butter but I thought we can only have a teaspoon at a time. I am new to 21 Day Fix.
Hi Emily, These are just general Shakeology recipes. Most could likely be used with Fix diet, but you may need to adjust them a little. There is a also a list of recipes near the back of the 21 Day Fix eating guide.
Can these be made the night before and drank the following morning?
You could try, some might taste better than other. I would still give it a quick shake in a blender bottle.
It says you’re supposed to consume Shakeology within 30 minutes of making it. I think after a certain amount of time the nutrients will break down.
Thank you so much for posting all these delicious recipes!
I can’t wait to try them. Kudos! :)
You’re welcome!
Here is a recipe for the Chocolate shakeology
1 cup of milk of your choice
1tbls of dry peanut butter
1tbls of butterscotch pudding
This will make a butterfinger shake, YUMM!
Sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing Christina.
Hi Bethany,
I don’t have Shakeology, but I do have Nectar protein I got from a nutrition store. Would it be okay to use the protein I already have? Also if you add fruit and almond milk that would count as an additional purple and yellow container, correct?
Alyssa
Hi Alyssa, You really can’t compare Shakeology to a whey protein only shake. Whey protein only shakes do have there place, but they are not the same. Yes, you would count the containers. Bethany
I’m new to this and it has been a chore to make sure I don’t go over my limits with things. But breakfast seems to trip me up for some reason. With she protein shake if we add almond milk what color would that be under?
HI Stephanie, Almond milk is a yellow container, I would refer to the book under replacement food container groups for more detail. Bethany
Can almond milk be substituted for the water?
Hi Lauren, Yes, almond milk makes for creamier consistency. Bethany
Where would (Does the) oj fit into the 21 day fix?
Should I use fresh squeezed instead?
Hi Tiffany, commercial oj contains added sugar, so that will be a no go on the Fix diet. I suppose fresh squeezed would be okay and that would be the purple container I suppose. -Bethany
Do you have any recipes for Chocolate Shakeology mixed with vegetables? I’m having a hard time getting in all my vegetables on the 21 Day Fix and I thought maybe I could add it to my shake, but I’m not sure that there are any that would alter the taste too much. Any ideas??
Hi Beth, don’t know about vegetables and chocolate. I have added spinach and kale leaves to greenberry, it was okay, but not great. Best bet would be to experiment and see what you can come up with. -Bethany
You can add spinach to almost anything, they don’t have a strong flavor like kale does. I’ve added it to my shakes/smoothies for ages.
Great idea! Thanks
I always put a handful of spinach and kale in my chocolate shakeology, you can’t even taste it once it’s blended.
Nice, I tried that before with an old blended and it did not work out to well. But, I’ll have to try that again. Bethany
Hi there! For the shakes with water, do you blend them or use a shaker cup?
Thanks!
Kelli
Hi Kelli, either way. I always use a blender, but I do not think it is totally necessary. -Bethany
Thanks for all your time doing these amazing recipes! Much appreciated!!
Hi Don, you’re welcome!
Bethany Lyn,
#4 of Strawberry. Amount of the 100% of oj?
Thanks
HI Maria, it should read 1/2 cup of 100% oj. -Bethany
A yummyn chocolate shake.
3 tablespoons of nutella or (peanut butter)
2 cups of almond milk
1 banana
Plus some coffee for the morning !!
if too thick just add some more almond milk or coffee!
Sounds delicious! -Bethany
