Like most people, I never used agility markers before the Shift Shop workout program. Do you really think they’d make any sort of difference in a workout?
Well…I was wrong.
I’ve done the Shift Shop Speed: 25 workout twice – once with markers and once without the agility markers. I will say that these simple little colored hexagons make your workouts much better!
Why Use Agility Markers
Agility markers are no longer just for athletes. Being agile is a key component for all active sports. They can also provide a heck of a workout as you will find in the Shift Shop workouts.
Here are 4 reasons you need them:
- They make your workouts more fun.
- You have something to focus on when the going gets tough.
- You can improve your agility, by improving foot speed and reaction time.
- You will improve your range as you strive to reach further distances the further apart you set the markers.
About the Agility Markers
With the official release of the program, I figured people would be searching for an alternative to buying the markers directly from Team Beachbody for $19.95 plus shipping.
Beachbody also has downloadable markers in the Beachbody On Demand members area located under the “Program Materials” tab. I tried using these first, but found them rather small and not very brightly colored.
Exactly why this post came into existence. The markers below measure about an inch wider and are more brightly colored with some motivational sayings to help you out when the going gets tough.

These will print on standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper. The heavier weight paper you use, the sturdier these markers will be.
To stick these to your floor, you can either use double-sided tape or fold a piece of tape back on itself after you’ve cut them out.
Just Be Sure To Be Safe With Them
Sure, they’re only made from pieces of paper, but you still want to be careful with agility markers.
I’d never seen hexagon-shaped agility markers before Shift Shop, just the agility dots you can find at sporting goods stores or Amazon, but that is Beachbody putting their own unique spin on things. Plus, it looks cool. But honestly, the size and shape of your agility dots really doesn’t matter.
One thing you would not want to do is use cones as markers during the Shift Shop workouts. There is a lot of skipping, hopping and shuffling that could make cones or something similar a tripping hazard, and could potentially lead to injuries.
Are these just printed on 8 1/2 x 11 paper?
Hi Debbie, Yes they are. I added this to the post to clarify. Bethany
