My First Day of the Brazil Butt Lift Workout Program

Today is the first day of my experience with Leandro Carvalho’s Brazil Butt Lift program – just one of the several Beachbody programs you can choose from. With so many offered programs, it was very difficult narrowing it down to only one. However, I am really excited to see what the Brazil Butt Lift can do with my normal female butt – not a supermodel’s. Click here to see my real Brazil Butt Lift results!

The Dreaded Pencil Test

Let’s just say I failed, or passed, the pencil test depending on how you look at it.  Sadly, I can quite literally hold a pencil under my butt cheek without flexing – gross, I know, but factual. Yes, my rear has succumbed to the forces of gravity – as well as my love of all foods that are really bad for you. Apparently, I need a Brazil Butt Lift…badly!

Why I Chose the Brazil Butt Lift Program

Initially, I wanted to try P90X or Insanity, but with my current fitness level, love for dance and natural pear shape,  I wanted to go for something a little less intense that specifically targeted my rear. So far, so good – except for a belly that is aching from all the whole foods I’m eating!

After getting a little nervous about the diet, since all online reviews say it’s comprised of mostly fish, legumes and rice, I was very pleasantly surprised to see such things as lemon sorbet with raspberries for dessert and turkey sausage with peppers and onions – not necessarily too exotic sounding, but something that sounds pretty yummy.

Because of my jiggling thighs and lower back, as well as a vast size discrepancy between my chest and my hips, I have chosen the Combination/Classic program of the Brazil Butt Lift. Compared with the other Brazil Butt Lift customized workouts, this one seemed the best option for me. While I may not have the exact hour glass figure measurements I’ve always hoped for by the end of 60 days, I am hoping to see some real change in my overall body shape.

Day One Workouts Done

Today’s workouts were the Bum Bum workout and Tummy Tuck. Can I just say…these workouts are a lot tougher than the cute names make them sound! I am so sore right now, but it’s definitely a good, I worked hard type of sore. Not the “oh my gosh I hurt myself” kind.

The Bum Bum workout was tough for me. Here I am thinking my leg strength was pretty decent, and then I do this workout. Oh my goodness! I can feel it everywhere, but especially in the thighs and butt. It’s not only a great leg and butt workout, but it’s also a really great cardio workout. My heart was pumping the entire length of video, which was a pleasant surprise.

With Tummy Tuck, I didn’t finish some of the exercises in order to stretch the midsection a bit. Like Bum Bum, this workout is tough – it is by far the toughest ab workout I have ever done. However, I really love it. If I don’t have toned abs by the end, I will be very surprised.

I will admit that I had to perform less-than-100% with my current cardiovascular health, but in a few weeks, I should be doing A-okay. I’ll keep you posted. For now, you can view some of my other posts like the Brazil Butt Lift diet or leave a comment or question – I will be happy to answer them.

  1. Hi, today is my first day of my own 90 day challenge for BBL. I think I have the old BBL set as I only have BUM BUM, TT, BUM BUM Rapido, basics, 2 other they dont have sculpt or high and tight on the names. so does this mean I cant do the challenge with what I have?
I have the 21 day fix set and diet and found it works well for a healthy diet to maintain a healthy eating habit I have maintained. Can you give me some advice should I combine what I have to set my challenge?
    Thanks,
    M

    1. Hello, there is no new or old version of the workouts. There is an updated workout calendar in BBL. Siunds like you are missing a disc. Bethany
