Brazilian Butt Lift Workout Results

Better back, better legs, better body?…yes!

After chronicling my experience with the Brazil Butt Lift workout program, I figured I’d have to show you the real results you can get with the Brazil Butt Lift workout program.

Before I started the program, I was sluggish and reaching the point where even my fat clothes were no longer fitting. Depressed and feeling helpless that I could never possibly get rid of my pear-shape, I decided to try BBL after watching the infomercial, which literally might have been a thousand times :)

Making that decision to follow the Brazil Butt Lift workout program was the best choice I have ever made. I made that  decision to purchase the program that  one morning and have never looked back!

And, you really can do it too! I’m not special, and I didn’t do anything extra besides BBL.

Just follow my tips for getting the best Brazil Butt Lift results possible an d you can be well on your way to your best body ever. But seriously, there is nothing out of the ordinary –  no voodoo or other magic here.

My advice to you: Don’t wait around for the perfect time, because you will never find it. If you don’t just make that decision to commit to the program and a healthy diet, you will never get the body you’ve always wanted.

Make that decision to change your body today with Brazil Butt Lift.

Measurable Results

The following are just some of what the Brazil Butt Lift at-home workout program can do for you.

  • Overall fat reduction: In just 60 days, I was able to lose almost 20 lbs of fat and 17″ from my body. I literally shrunk width-wise.
  • Tighter, toned booty: Yes, you will definitely get a tighter tush with this one, especially if you push yourself and use the heaviest weights possible. I was using 20lb weights for the overhead shoulder presses in the Sculpt video and 5lbs on each ankle for High & Tight floor exercises. And it DID NOT make me look like I had manly muscles..

    A sleeker, smoother silhouette
  • A better shaped, tush: Besides getting a higher and tighter tush, you will add some volume to your butt too. However, it will not make your butt bigger if you are trying to lose size, because you’ll be losing fat simultaneously, revealing the well-rounded butt you’ve been wanting.
  • Bye-bye saddlebags: One thing I’ve always hated since I started putting on weight was the outpouching of my saddlebags with the cellulite dimples. I was pretty straight from my shoulders to my waist, and then BOOM – fat legs! Brazil Butt Lift really does help get rid of your pear shape. I didn’t believe it could because of the role genetics have on your natural body frame, but with some hard work and a little bit of effort, I am the closest to being hourglass shaped as I’ll ever be!
  • Sexy arms & back: Yes, you can get sexy arms with Brazil Butt Lift and a sexy back.

Brazil Butt Lift – the non-surgical answer to a better body in 60 days!
  • Sleek, sexy core: I could almost see my last set of abdominal muscles after only one round of BBL! It was so exciting. And no, you will not get big, bulky muscles.
  • Better-looking legs: Besides taking care of the obvious butt and thighs,  I found that even my calves looked better and more muscular after doing Brazil Butt Lift. So, if you’re looking to get the sexy legs you’ve always wanted and be able to wear those skirts and shorts again, then the Brazil Butt Lift is the right choice for you.

Now that you know you can get Supermodel sexy in just 60 days, you should also learn a little bit about what different BBL package options there are and what each of them costs to find the one that fits your goals and your budget.

What Does Brazil Butt Lift Cost?

There are a few different BBL options to choose from, so here’s a quick breakdown of each:

  • New: 2017 Update: Even though I did this program close to four years ago ,it still works! And thanks to technology you can now try it free for 14 days with the new Beachbody On Demand streaming workout service. You get access to all program workouts and guides in digital format with BOD and is something to consider if you don’t need physical materials/
  • Brazil Butt Lift Original Base Kit: This is the 60-Day at-home workout program I purchased. It comes with the five BBL workouts, Booty Makeover Guide and Calendars, Meal Plan, Booty Basics Introductory video, Bum Bum Rapido workout (which is awesome, in a hurt-so-good sort of way), TriAngle Training workout cards to bring with you if traveling, the Secret Weapon workout (shorter, but just as hard of a tush tighteners they others!), measurement tracker, measuring tape, booty resistance band, 6-Day Supermodel Slimdown, pencil, and free online support.

Cost: $59.85.  Plus if you buy directly from Beachbody by clicking here, I will be made your personal coach to help you every step of the way should you have any questions during your transformation.

“Promotional pricing for BBL base kit announced, normally $59.85 now $39.90 when using the link above.”

  • Brazil Butt Lift Deluxe Plus Package: This includes everything from the base kit, including a few extras to really maximize your results and help keep boredom at bay if you’re prone to getting bored easily. In addition to everything from the base package, you will also receive ankle weights, a medium and heavyweight resistance band to use as your strength increases during the 60-days (which it will!), as well as three bonus workouts, including Rio Extreme (a tougher Sculpt-style workout), Upper Cuts that targets your arms (provides a good, quick burn, giving you sexier arms), and Abs Rapido (a fun, short alternative to Tummy Tuck).

Cost: $119.70. And if you buy directly from Beachbody by clicking here, I will be made your personal coach to help you through your fitness transformation if you need any along the way.

“Promotional pricing for BBL announced, normally $119.70 now $79.80 when using the link above.”

  • Brazil Butt Lift Supreme Package: This is definitely something to consider, because you get EVERYTHING you’ll need for the program with this one. In addition to all the equipment and videos from the Base and Plus kits, you will also receive a Brazilian yoga mat, resistance band with handles, which is great if you don’t have free weights at home, and a Slimming Formula to help you get lean and sexy in no time!

Cost: $176.55. And once again, if you order your program from Beachbody by clicking here, they will make me your coach, so you will be able to easily contact me along the way if you should have any questions.

“Promotional pricing for BBL announced, normally $176.55 now $119.70 when using the link above.”

If you choose not to buy the Deluxe Plus or Supreme program packages, you will need to supply yourself with the following materials. You can always order the Deluxe/Plus packages separately or even the extra DVDs from the Deluxe package by themselves.

Stream BBL Workouts with Beachbody On Demand

Along with the DVD packages for the Brazil Butt Lift workout, Beachbody now has streaming service that allows for the streaming or download of any workout. All program materials are also available for download in pdf format including the meal plans, workout schedules, and any other guide.

Link to a 14-day no charge trial(scroll to the bottom right) to Beachbody on Demand and other membership options that start as low as $39.00 for a 3-months.

What is a Brazil Butt Lift Challenge Pack?

Since I still drink Shakeology daily, I cannot stress enough how much I think ordering the Challenge Pack puts you closer to your goal of getting fit and is totally worth the extra money upfront. Basically, it’s the BBL base kit with a bag of Shakeology shipped on home direct, in total it’s a $50 savings if you bought the items separately.

Not sure exactly what it is, but I’ve found that those who opt into the Challenge packs for any Beachbody workout are not only more likely to succeed in completing the full 60-days, but also stick with their healthy lifestyle to finally reach all of their health and fitness goals.

Here is the equipment you’ll need for the Brazil Butt Lift workout program:

  • Ankle weights: You really will not reap the full benefits of the BBL program without ankle weights. I would recommend buying 5lb adjustable weights you can adjust from less than a pound up to 5lbs on each ankle.

BBL Workout Before & After Results
  • Yoga mat: While this is not necessary, it does provide an extra lot of comfort on your knees and spine during floor exercises, which there are plenty of. You buy a cheap one on Amazon.com or at Walmart. Or if you’re looking for a slightly more high-end product, Beachbody has some great ones.
  • Food: While the program provides you with an awesome nutrition guide, including great recipes, you will need to purchase your own food, Shakeology, and protein shake/bars.
  • Higher resistance booty bands: While this is not mandatory, I would strongly suggest buying extra booty bands. I was using a very high resistance booty band by the end. As you get stronger, the yellow one the program comes with will become too easy to feel like you’re really working anything. You can also find these at Amazon.com or a sporting goods store.

A Better Butt in 60 Days – No Surgery Necessary!

Plastic surgery is not only expensive, but it’s dangerous as well. There are so many women who die trying to get the figure they’ve always wanted the easy and unnatural way.

If you’re down and low about your figure and feeling hopeless that there’s nothing you can do about it, TRY THE BRAZIL BUTT LIFT WORKOUT TODAY! Seriously, don’t resort to expensive surgery when all it takes is $60 to buy the workout that is actually quite fun, which comes with the booty band and other great stuff.

Brazil Butt Lift for a Better You

I have a chin again and am smaller overall. Plus, I’m standing straighter now

Brazil Butt Lift doesn’t just help you look better, it will help you feel better. It will give you the self-confidence you need to wear the clothes you’ve always wanted to wear, but even more importantly, it will provide you with healthy eating habits you can adopt for life!

Before BBL, I could have eaten candy or fast food every day, but now when I’m out shopping, I don’t even crave that stuff. Of course that’s not to say I don’t enjoy my dark chocolate every now or a cheeseburger, but I’m not buying milk duds or starburst every trip to Walmart. It’s all in moderation now.

Whether you have cellulite like I did, a pear-shape, or just want to lose weight while shaping your body into a lean dancer’s figure, then I highly recommend the Brazil Butt Lift. I didn’t want a big, bulky lookI wanted to look supermodel-ish. And while I still don’t look like a supermodel (I’m a little too short!), I’m still thrilled with my Brazil Butt Lift results.

Quit wasting more of you time and energy worrying about your appearance – you can change your body today with Brazil Butt Lift! And after you do, make sure to tell me about it and email pictures – I would love to hear your success stories!

  1. Hey Bethany. I have BBL now and I just finished day two. I am following the “Lift” Calendar because I have cellulite and need to lift. I am also doing the 21 day fix eating program and shakeology. I had a really good work out doing “High and tight,” and it felt truly effective. But when I did “Bum Bum,” he doesn’t explain how to do the moves before doing them and I have a hard time doing the moves unless I am facing the same way as the people in the video so I couldn’t keep up. I was dripping sweat either way. I am wondering if you have any advice on learning the moves or if you recommend doing “High and tight” more than just the 2 times a week that the “lift” calendar has (the last week has us only doing it once in the week.) I feel that one is so good and doesn’t require dance moves.

Also, the first day I didn’t use any weights. do you recommend I work my way up to 5lbs on each ankle, or that I jump right to 5?

    1. Hi Scarlet, I would stick to the high and tight workout twice a week and once on the final week, this gives your muscles time to recover from the workouts. For the Bum Bum workout it will get easier to follow after a couple times through, this workout is actually one of the hardest Beachbody workouts I’ve ever done and it will be worth sticking with it. I would also work your way up on the ankle weights if you can, this way you will be able to get the form down of each exercise with the lighter weights first than sacrificing form for more weight.

  2. Hi Bethany,

I’m from the UK and yours is the best review online, I know it’s a while back now but I revisit your page for inspiration.
I’m almost at the end of week 2 and find tummy tuck IMPOSSIBLE and any ab exercises in Sculpt very hard as well as the mermaid – does it get easier?
And were you eating only 1200 calories throughout? I’m 5’3 and 133 pounds but hippy at 40″

    1. Hi Manisha, I was between 1200-1400 calories daily. And, I feel you on the mermaids they were brutal, but yes it all gets easier. I would say it took me about three weeks to start feeling like I would be able to maybe keep up with them one day. Bethany

    1. Hi Renee, A healthy diet and exercise will work, PiYo is probably easier to follow. Bum bum and the cardio axe workouts in BBL do require some dance moves.Bethany

  3. Hi Bethany,
I recently bought the BBL program after finding your review. Congrats on your amazing results and hard work. I am curious if I can substitute my bodylastics resistance bands for the ankle weights and the booty band (mine broke almost immediately.)

    1. Hi Dorothy, I think you would still need ankle weights and a band to make the workouts truely effective. Bethany

  4. Hi, Bethany! Let me start by saying that you look amazing! Your honest approach to explaining the Brazilian Butt Lift makes me feel like I’m not alone and doing all right. I finished day 5 today (doing the slim program) and let me tell you, the Bum Bum workout and Tummy Tuck are NOT easy. I emailed a coach to help motivate me, but don’t hear from them much so I was wondering how to go about getting you to help me out? Is that possible? I am 35, have two sons: 10 months and 10 years old, and three daughters: 5, 11, and 13 years old. I am still losing baby weight and am ready to get in shape in order to keep up with all of the kids. I have been doing the Whole 30 for 2 weeks now and plan on doing it 90 days this time around so I won’t be weighing myself but measurements need to go down. I’d love to hear from you!

    1. Hi Denae, BBL Bum Bum is one of the most challenging workouts around and Tummy Tuck too. Whole 30 is a great diet, it is actually in my recommended reading section. It is basically how I eat 90% of the time.

  5. Hello! I love your site and I love how active you are in responding to all your readers! That makes me believe you would be an excellent coach! I am going to order BBL Deluxe through your referral link, but want to make sure you are still coaching! Also, if you are, what sort of communications methods do coaches use to communicate? I’m not too eager to have to constantly resort to a computer :( My friend is in a similar fitness group that uses instant messaging groups on mobile apps like WhatsApp. Do you use anything similar? I think the big appeal there is that everyone can encourage each other in real time vs. having to sit at a computer and report to a website all the time.

    Thanks for your time!

    1. Hi Sora, Yes, I am still very active as a coach. The quickest way to contact me is email, text, or message me on fb. I start a new challenge group on fb every month for people just starting out. You can use fb messenger to interact instead of a computer. I am also on kik messenger, but WhatsApp looks like a better alternative that I will have to get setup. Bethany

  6. Hi Bethany!
    Your story is so inspiring!
I’m also a pear shape, a lot like your before picture, but I’m 5’4 and 125 lbs, but my hips are 39’4. I used to think I should lose weight and I did drop to 112 lbs 3 years ago. I was exercising 5 to 6 times a week, mixing BBL and walking/jogging and counting calories, eating around 1600 cal a day. I lost a bit around the hips, but not as much as you did, and the rest of my body looked really skinny, almost too much, especially on the face, neck and ribs. Friends and family used to tell me that I looked sick and tired. I also found it was difficult to maintain a social life this way. After several months, though, I got very busy with work and didn’t have time to weight food and count calories. I have continued exercising several times a week and have tried to eat as much healthy as possible but without being extremely careful. I gradually reached 125 lbs, and despite trying to lose it a few times, I just seem not to be able to do so anymore. So maybe the problem is not about the weight but just toning up the saddlebags+booty while getting rid of this stubborn fat. So my question is, what would be the best BBL programme for me, classic or pear shape? And how could I lose butt fat and cellulite while toning it, without doing a low calorie diet?
    Thank you

    1. Hi Kimy! I would follow the combination/classic schedule, but stick to the old combination program that I have here to get you the best results possible. What you need to do is use the heaviest weights you safely can and definitely use the exercise weights. HOWEVER, to get rid of that stubborn fat and reduce cellulite amounts, you will have to cut back your calories slightly and eat a clean diet, since it’s all extra fat. Follow the BBL diet plan…it’s very good, and it gives you enough food to eat.

The good news is that BBL will tone your upper body up as well, so you shouldn’t look too skinny up top. What you will end up with is a leaner, more toned figure. 112 does seem a little low, so I would shoot for 115-118. It will be easier to maintain for the long haul. I hope this helps, but if you do have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck!

  7. Hi, I just bought the basic pkg today, so my question is is there a calendar to mix up the classic rotation, so you don’t hit a plateau, it will take me longer than 60 days to lose my 20 lbs, im older than you, will be 49 this yr, things don’t go so fast after 40 unfortunately, im willing to do as many rotations as it takes but mixing it up intelligently is the help I need, can you help with this? by the way your story is very inspiring to become a coach, that is awesome! Thank you,

    1. Hi Deb, I would concentrate on the 60 days for now. You will get a real good feel for how your body is responding to the workouts after you have completed the first 60 days, then it will be easier to make the neccesary changes for continued results. Bethany

  8. Your story inspired me! Ive always struggled with weight and im tired of it. I need to loose 40 pounds. I have a huge pear shaped body. My hips saddlebags and thighs are huge. I need to do something about it! Ive never been able to use shorts or a skirt. Which calendsr would you recommend for me? I was thinking about doing t25 at the same time, what do u think? I have alteady done insanity and t25 in the past so im used to hard work.

    1. Hi raman – yes, Beachbody will ship to Canada. Any link on this site will bring you to their site where you will not only get your workout shipped to Canada, but also get your free bonus workout DVD that you will not be able to get elsewhere. Hope that helps :)

  9. Hi Bethany

i love your results. I followed slim and shape for 4 weeks as i was doing body pump along with it. I did notice a difference but didn’t take before and after pictures. I am now going to start the classic program tomorrow and follow the diet as it my diet that lets me down. I get bored with food very easily and want what i want when i want it. Its had when you have kids. Can i ask you how many rounds of BBL you did to look like you do now? or was that just after 60 days and following the diet. Thanks Anita

    1. Hi Anita, diet is the most difficult part, but it is also the key to success. I would suggest to try searching pinterest for healthy meal ideas that aer still fun. My results are from 1 round, I tried the program a few times, but never committed to it like I did for those 60-days including the diet. -Bethany

      1. Hi Bethany

Thanks for coming to me. I started the BBL again 2 weeks ago and followed the 6 day supermodel diet and lost 10lbs – despite not being over weight at all. By day 3 i wasn’t even hungry even though i skipped the lunch meals. I cant do salad more than once a day lol. I’m now worried that the weight i lost will go back on once i start eating the regular meal plan with BBL – did you put weight on. Lasty, I didn’t realise BBL was for 60 days. Did you just do the Classis twice then? im getting soo bored at cardio axe already.

  10. Hello! I have a question.. I’m 27 years old..I’m 4’11” and I weigh about 120lbs.. I am pretty happy with my figure…I have an hour glass shape..with a nice round butt..but I do however have cellulite on my upper thighs just under my butt. I don’t want to lose my butt..so my question is will I be able to slim down and tighten my thighs..and also tighten my butt without making it smaller..?

    1. Hi Alleen, really hard question to answer. I can tell you it is not possible to spot reduce, meaning you can’t just lose fat from one area of the body. With that said, we all have genetic predispositions to where we hold body fat. Some people hold it in their thighs, while other people carry more fa in their butt. So, when you do try to slim down and tighten your thighs you may lose some of your butt, but maybe not. Toning the muscles in your butt might also make up for any of the fat loss. Really the only real way to know is by taking the do it and see approach. -Bethany

  11. I’ve just decided to start BBL. I’ll do the classic solution and as you know it’s 2 workouts a day, almost everyday. I was wondering if it would be ok to do 1 workout in the morning and the other one in the evening?

    1. Hi Burcu, yes you can split the workouts into morning and evening or do them back to back, it is totally what is more convenient for you. – Bethany

  12. Hey just a random question, with the 6day meal plan almost each day includes the basics in the workouts along with another exercise video… im confused how to follow the basics as ive already done 4 weeks of just classic before without the basics. i only watched it once and i was fine.. so now that im starting back up again and this time i decided to include the 6 day plan workouts before i begin the program.. should i even bother with the basics or can i just do the excercises without looking at basics again?

    1. Hi Val, I do not think there is a need to do the basics workout again unless you are concerned about form than it would be fine. -Bethany

  13. I started bbl yesterday the first day I did bum bum and I got a workout 10x better than when I go to my trainer I am currently 140 pounds and basically the same measurements as you but a little smaller hips in 39″ what tips do you suggest for getting rid of saddlebags doing the bbl

  14. Hi Bethany,

First of all, you look fantastic. Congratulations on your results, and thank you for documenting your journey for the rest of us – it has helped tremendously!

I’m just completing week 4 of the combination schedule today and I’m quite thrilled to have come so far. I’m seeing results in my upper body and midsection, and the lower body is shrinking slowly. My question is, how should I proceed after this? I saw above that you did a combination of the classic and ‘too big’ solution after week 4, so I’m wondering what the best combination will be for me.

I’m 28, 5’4, 132 lbs and I’d like to continue doing cardio to get rid of the fat, with a focus on the lower half (since progress there has been slow). To be fair though, I have bad knees and don’t go as deep in the lunges. Also, I live in India and haven’t been able to find the booty bands anywhere, so I’ve just been using the heaviest ankle weights during high and tight. I tried tying up the regular bands but let’s just say that did not work. Haha. So I think everything combined has led to me getting slower results than I’d like. I’m fine with slow progress, as long as I get there.

My diet is relatively clean (or as clean as I can keep it in order to not binge with a chocolate square thrown in here and there), and I haven’t missed a single day of the program. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me on how to proceed – whether to do the classic all over again or throw in 1-2 weeks of another program.

Thanks in advance, I’m sure you’re busy and I really appreciate you taking the time to help everyone out! :)

    1. Hi Seema – thank you for your kind words…I’m always glad to hear when my week-by-week documentation helps!

Congratulations on finishing up week 4 – that’s really something to be proud of. And it sounds like you’ve already gotten some amazing results, so definitely don’t quit and keep up the good work! And don’t worry about a chocolate square every now and then – that’s what helps keep you on track to avoid extreme urges that cause binge eating.

After the fourth week, I stuck with the combination schedule for the second month, but added in the toughest week from the Too Big solution to switch things up. The Too Big solution focuses more on cardio overall, but I chose the week that had the most/longest workout schedule to make the most of the program. I did switch up the final four weeks of the Combination schedule to also switch things around as well.

For you, I would do the same thing: You can do three of the toughest weeks from BBL and one week from the Too Big schedule. An example: Weeks 3,2, and 1 from Classic Schedule, and then week 2 from Too Big. The final four weeks are what are really going to transform your body, so if you’re already seeing great results, keep up the good work and wait until a month from now :)

Whatever four weeks of the program you decide to do, I would suggest looking for those with the max amount of workouts that are targeted at the legs and have more cardio. As for lack of exercise bands, you can really achieve the same results by using your own weight as resistance – by pretending there is resistance on your ankles. You can still get excellent results doing that. Also, Amazon.com has international shipping.

I hope this helps answer all your questions. Keep up the excellent work – you’re almost there! And let me know if you have any other questions :)

  15. Hey Bethany,

Thanks for doing this review of the Brazil Butt Lift Workout. Your webpage really helped me want to do the program because you talked so real about the program. Plus you also included pictures of before and after your 60 day workout. I bought the program and started it. I am on my fourth week now of the too flat solution and am thinking I might want to follow up with the classic program. I have not been following an eating guide and I think I would see better results if I was. I have lots of food allergies so I struggle with deciding what meals to eat. I want to make an eating schedule for the 4 week classic program because I want to see better results. Any suggestions on how to stick to a good eating plan?
Also, do you find it is better to workout before you eat a big meal or sometime after?

    Thanks for your time!

    1. Hi Kim, congratulations on beginning week 4 – that is awesome! Keep up the good work. To get the best results possible, you do need to eat a healthy diet. In fact, diet is a major part of how good your results will be. The easiest way to track your calories, as much as how many fats, carbs, and protein you’ren eating is on a website like myfitnesspal.com. Writing it down in the system will help you keep track and be able to monitor your food intake.

For me, working out at least 1.5 hours after a large meal is long enough. Anything sooner than that, and I get a belly ache. Just be sure you’re not eating too much at one meal. You should be consuming less the 450 calories at a sitting. Any more than that, and your body will store the extra calories as fat.

You should definitely follow this week with the combination schedule – it will be the perfect end to the program and should give you some major results. I hope this helps, but please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

      1. Thanks so much for the quick reply! That will help, I have downloaded an app for calculating calories. I tend to work out in the morning before eating breakfast, is this a bad habit? I sometimes eat a few grapes before the workout and then after I complete the workout I usually eat a bowl of porridge.
I think my biggest road block in the food area for me is meal planning. I find that I will eat when I get hungry and then I usually just eat what ever is quick and available. Do you know of any meal planning apps of websites that work good?
In order to follow a proper diet did you plan your meals a week in advance or anything? I find I am scrambling last minute to find something to eat and often just end up eating whatever is available at that time.
I am allergic to nuts and quite a few raw vegetables and fruits that the program suggests. Instead of cutting out the nuts, fruits and vegetables that I am allergic to that the program incorporates, can I just substitute vegetables and fruits that I am not allergic to for the program? Also, is there something that I can have in place of nuts? I am allergic to soy as well. Thanks for all your encouragement and support!

  16. Hello Bethany,
I have read the comments in hopes of finding the answer to my question and I’m still as confused as ever. I have clue which schedule to follow. Here are my concerns: I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT! My thighs are huge with some cellulite (primarily in the front and some on sides). I feel like my butt looks like a square from behind with some volume. Like one of your other followers, from the side it looks divided the top almost appears separated from the bottom, ughh, however I am proportioned. My waist is significantly smaller than my 39in chest and 43in hips. My waist is 31. I’m more like an hourglass. I would like to do T-25, rotating cardio, speed and total body, in the morning when I wake up and then BBL as a second workout in the evening. I did complete T-25 Alpha but I feel like it didn’t tone me the way BBL will. I’m really trying to look my best for my son’s graduation pictures in one month. I can’t figure out how to do it and I don’t think the hybrid schedule will give me what I need as quickly as I need it. My husband thinks I am a pear. I disagree because I am not small on top with wider hips. I think square and flat and he says my butt is no where near flat or square. The combo has so much cardio I don’t know if that is good either. PLEASE HELP!! I HAVE ONE MONTH AS OF TODAY!

    1. Hi Tee – unfortunately, there is no quick fix for weight loss. You shouldn’t be losing more than 2lbs each week unless you will not just losing fat, you will be losing muscle mass and water weight. If I had to choose for you, I would definitely follow BBL’s Combination schedule. It will firm you up and slender down your hips while blasting fat. Just make sure to eat a very clean diet rich in whole foods and follow BBL’s recommended calorie intake. Also, make sure to use the heaviest weights you can safely lift, including ankle weights. I hope this helps, but if you do have any other questions, please let me know. Good luck!

      1. Thank you SO MUCH Bethany! I have resolved in my head there isn’t going to be but so much weight loss in one month and I’m fine with that. Even 8lbs would be awesome. I guess my biggest question revolves around 1) Which BBL workout to use to see results in smaller thighs and tighter butt according to the shape I see? 2) Is there a problem if I add T-25 (cardio, speed or total body) every morning while doing BBL in the evening?
I can’t thank you enough for your response I have been going crazy trying to figure out what to do. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

      2. Hello again! I definitely think you can reach the 8lb mark…you can probably surpass that if you follow the supermodel slimdown for the first week. I would follow BBL’s combination schedule. It will get you the right amount of muscle-building with the right amout of cardio to get the slimmest you possible in the next four weeks. It will also have you exercising close to one hour every day with its two daily workouts (or one, 50-minute workout), so I would not suggest adding in T25 – you are just going to overtrain and may end up seeing fewer results. Remember that diet is really key in this – so make sure to keep your willpower strong and avoid sugary and processed foods entirely. Hope this helps, but let me know if you do have any more questions. :)

  17. Hi Bethany! Your results are amazing and im hoping to be as successful as you :)

Im 5’7″ and 235 lbs, and I’m ready to loose all the excess weight! I was wondering which plan you would advise me to do since i have a lot of weight to loose but at the same time want to firm up my butt. I have lot of belly fat too so reducing that would be amazing. Also, Im going to a wedding in 2 months so i was thinking of starting with the classic rotation first for 60 days (to loose fat fast) and after that go for one of the other plans that builds more muscle, my butt isnt flat but its not that round either so i definately want to make it bigger!

Also, besides having a healthy and clean diet, should i keep my calorie intake to around 1400 or more because of my weight?

    Thanks for the help!

    1. Hi Melissa, congratulations on your decision to get fit! I think your idea of following the combination schedule for 60 days is a smart decision – just make sure you’re medically cleared for intense physical activity. And once you’ve begun the program, remember to take the workouts at your own pace, since some of the BBL workouts are really tough. You will get stronger with time, so don’t try to overdo anything in the beginning.

As for calories, I would follow what BBL recommends. For you, I think that would be somewhere around 2000 calories. You can lessen your calories as you lose weight, but you don’t want to cut your calories too much in the beginning, because then you cause adverse weight gain by sending your body into starvation mode. Always try to remember that the weight did not come on overnight, so you’re not going to lose it all in 60 days. There is no doubt in my mind you can reach your weight loss goals following this program, but it will take time. And if you follow the program exactly, eat right, use the heaviest weights possible (including dumbbells and ankle weights), you will get a higher, tighter, more rounded behind. :) Good luck!

  18. hi sara long time no talk

    how r u

im getting back to BBL after doing nothing for 3 weeks straight and gained a few kilos

but this time i really want to start with the pear solution while adding a bike everyday for 30min along with my 10 yoga daily the bike did wonders for me and it will again

now my Q is i went to the callnders section on ur blog here and noticed that the slim and shape sec which is the pear shape soluton has the first month exactly as in the BBL bounflet only it has the seconed month exactly as the classic only with one day where bum bum is done instead of high and tigh with cardio axe

do u adivse me to do this or 2 months stratigh of the pear solutuon

    waiting for ur answer

  19. Hi Bethany,
Your results in pictures are great! I am considering the package you tried. I have two questions:
    1) Will you provide your before and after measurements so I can get a better idea of how you did overall – in 60 days? Ht, wt, and inches… I know results are individual and vary.
    2) Do I need to use/do Shakeology in order to follow the meal plan or diet provided?
    Thank you…

    1. Hi Luanne, you can find all of my measurements here – I charted everything week to week from the very beginning of the program to the end. I am 5’8″ tall.

As for Shakeology, it is included in the BBL meal plan. I liked it because it helped keep me on track when time was short and really regulated my digestion. It’s a great, healthy meal replacement shake when blended with frozen berries or other fruit. I happen to think it’s worth the money when you really want to get the best results possible, but it’s entirely up to you and your budget. I am sure you could get great results without it too.

I hope this helps, but if you do have any other questions, please let me know. Good luck!

  20. Hi Bethany, regards from Indonesia. I really love your result, since I have a similar body shape with your previous shape, only bit slimmer. I am 23 years old, with curvy thigh and butt, and my goal is to cut my weigh up to 10kg. I have googled and read a review that it’s quite difficult to slim down less than 10kg using BBL. Is that true? I’m working on my first day of BBL, use pear-shape program. Should I switch to classic, if my goal is to cut 10 kg? And do you have any recommendation if I do this BBL’s program while doing fasting? Maybe just one workout each day, or something… I really want to reach that dream goal because it’s always been my new year resolution since I was in college, but it never work out lol. Thank’s before and sorry for bad english.

    :D

    1. Hi Octarina, thank you very much for writing. Losing 10kg will take longer than the 60 days. You should aim to lose less than 0.9kg per week if you’re looking for sustainable weight loss. Any more than that and you’re setting yourself up for weight rebound once you stop exercising and/or dieting. I do think you could lose 10kg safely and effectively if you followed the combination program for three months. I lost 7.7kg in the two months, so there is no doubt in my mind you can reach your 10kg goal.

So…my recommendation would be to follow the combination schedule. You shouldn’t fast while following this program, since you won’t have the energy to do the workouts – if you don’t feel energetic enough, just don’t worry about. Instead, go for a slow walk if you feel like you want to get some activity in. You could try doing one of the easier workouts if you feel you have enough energy, but steer clear of Cardio Axe, Bum Bum, and Sculpt. They are too intense to do when you are not eating.

After you’re done fasting, just make sure to eat a healthy, whole foods, reduced-calorie diet in the calorie range BBL suggests. Just follow the program, follow the diet, and stick with it – you CAN reach your goals. You just have to decide to commit to the program, and you will succeed!

  21. Hi! I’m really excited to start this but just a few questions.
    1. My lower body is just like yours before you started your work out, except I have a really big butt with cellulite…if I do this for 60 days will my butt get smaller?
    2. My upper body….I have large arms & I have fat rolls & love handles…would the classic workout help with all of this?

Lots of people look at my butt & like my butt, I’m just afraid that my butt will get or look smaller.

    1. Hi Kaylei, if anything, BBL’s combination schedule will add volume to your backside. However if you do have a lot of cellulite, yours may end up looking a bit smaller afterwards because cellulite is just fat and BBL helps you lose all your excess fat – including your arms, love handles, and everything else. It is impossible to spot reduce. So, depending on your genetics, you might be able to keep your fuller bottom.

In all, BBL’s combination schedule is a very well-rounded workout and will help tone your entire body – not just your butt. I hope this helps – good luck!

  22. hi Bethany, love your result so much. i noticed you recommended the classic workout schedule to maximize the results, is that the same schedule as the combination calendar? i am on my second day of slim and shape calendar, finding hard to follow the cadio axe moves, any suggestions? went through the basics, but there weren’t any instructions about those dancing moves.

i aslo want tone my arms, and i have a pair 1.5kg dumbbells, and you used 20bls from the beginning of the BBL or you added on after a few days?

    cheers

    1. Hi Chelsea, yes the classic and combination schedule are the same. Cardio axe takes sometime to get a hang of. It took me about two weeks to get the moves down, but once you do cardio axe is a very good butt and ab workout, just stick with it and don’t get frustrated and the moves will start coming to you. I built up to the 20’s, I think I started with 5’s and 10’s for most of the moves in sculpt. -Bethany

  23. I don’t have access to Shakeolgy at all sadly, and I would like to do brazil butt lift again and also will the results came out well even if I don’t use Shakeolgy and when u did bbl did your knees every begin to hurt

    1. Shakeology is a supplement not a must. My knees never bothered me, but you have to be careful with the lunges and squats, try to never allow your knee to go past the front of your toes on these moves. -Bethany

  24. Hi! I am about half way through the 2nd week. I have really good results on my thighs, butt and hips but my stomach feels bigger. Like compared to my hips and legs now. It isn’t going down as fast as my bottom half. Did this happen to you? I don’t want to be one of those people with tiny legs and big stomachs.

    1. Hi Alanna, it sounds like you’re headed in the right direction if you’re seeing results on your hips, butt, and thighs, so I really wouldn’t worry. That being said, your stomach should not be getting bigger, however if that’s where you tend to hold most of your fat, then that will be the last place you’ll notice a difference on, but it really should not be bigger. That’s just how fat loss happens…you lose it last from that places you’d like to lose it first.

Another thing to take a look at is if you are really bigger in the belly or are you just noticing it now that your bottom half is getting leaner? Make sure to track your measurements, because sometimes what our eyes see is totally different than what is actually happening. And make sure to watch what you’re eating – high sodium foods make even the thinnest people look bloated. If it is really is bigger after taking your weekly measurements, it could have to do with the time of month (hormones play a HUGE role in bloat), or how much sodium and what types of food you’re eating.

I hope this helps, but if you do have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

  25. Hey! So I have two questions: Which exercises do you think target the saddlebags the most, and did you ever have trouble getting the proper form for some of them? Sometimes when I do high and tight, I can feel the burn and I feel like I’m getting a good workout and then other days its like I’m not working out at all. I added more weight to my ankle weights today so I thought that would help but I felt like I was just wasting my time. I’ve had BBL for about five months now, so I figured I would have gotten the moves down. I also want to thank you for this blog. It’s been a big inspiration for me.

    1. Hi Jamie, most of the floor moves with the band in the High & TIght workout target the saddlebag area. My advice would be to slow down your movement on the exercise and concentrate on form, sometime doing the moves without weights can help you perfect the from. – Bethany

  26. HI BETHANY!!!! I am about to order bbl. . I am nervous about it because i don’t want to waste my time .. I have a pear shape and saddle bags also cellulite. :( my 3rd child just turned a month old today! I need some seriuos encourging words .. I know your before and after photos look amazing I just don’t know if my body would do that I am 5″6 and 159 lbs I want to get down too 135 or 140!

    1. Hi Jolene, there is no doubt in my mind you can slim down your pear shape and get rid of those pesky saddle bags and cellulite if you follow BBL. You will most likely need to follow the plan for three months to reach your weight loss goal, but you can do it.

Just be sure to watch your diet and check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program – especially if you are breastfeeding. Truthfully, the best way to get in shape this soon after having a child is gradually…this way you can work your way up to doing more intense exercise. I’m not saying not to follow BBL right now, but really check with your doc and do the workouts at your own pace…you don’t want to injure anything. I hope this helps! Congratulations on your new baby :)

  27. I didnt get to read everything but what lbs ankle weights did u use and do ankle weights really tone your tush?

    1. Hi camillia, I used ankle weights that were adjustable to five pounds on each leg. And yes, ankle weights really will help you get the best results possible. Doing the moves in the High & Tight workout along with the heaviest ankles weights you can safely use are what will give you that rounded, tighter, higher butt you’ve always wanted. :)

    1. Hi Morgan – The only secret I had was trying to eat as many whole foods as I could and cutting out sugary, high fat junk foods for the entirety. I may have had some Lay’s Baked potato chips every now and then, but I tried to stay clear of anything processed. Snacks I enjoyed? The baked potato chips, cut veggies with hummus or naturally low-fat dressing or even just a yummy piece of seasonal fruit. If you’d like to learn more, you can read my article on My Sample BBL Round 1 Diet. Hope this helps – good luck!

  28. Hi Bethany,

I lost my Dad 2 years ago which caused great depression and lead me to put on 20kg. I had been wanting to do something about my weight gain for some time but nothing held my interest…until I watched the BBL program advertised on an infomercial but it wasn’t until I read your review and had seen your pictures that I decided to commit myself and purchase the DVD’s. Your results are amazing and something that I’m hoping for as well…even though I’m larger than you were at the beginning. I’m now nearing the end of week 4 on the Slim & Lift Program and I’m having some great results (I have already lost 7kg…thanks to a great start on the 6 Day Supermodel Slimdown Plan…so technically it’s been 5 weeks). My question to you is, for last 4 weeks do I go back to week 1 of the Slim & Lift Program or do I move onto week 1 of the Classic Program (I didn’t receive a copy of the 60 day calender that was advertised)? I just want to make sure that I’m using the best program possible so that I can achieve maximum results. Also I noticed that you advanced in your hand weights to 20lb was that for each hand or in total, also when did you start using the heavier weights? Sorry for all the questions but I would really like some direction as I really want this to work and am extremely committed…I look forward to reply. Many thanks.

  29. You definatley have me more motivated. I am only on day two and this workout is hard. i cannot keep up or do half of the moves! Did you feel this way at first?

    1. Hi Jenni – happy to hear you’re more motivated now…that’s great news! Congratulations on making it to day two. The truth is the workouts are tough – especially if you haven’t been exercising regularly. I definitely couldn’t keep up with the moves in the beginning, having to walk it out or pause the DVDs repeatedly. I did every move at my own pace, including all of Sculpt and Bum Bum. I just slowed down the moves – when they did 16 reps, I would do 8. The most important thing is that you don’t quit, you just keep going and follow the schedule. With each passing week, you really will feel yourself getting stronger and being able to do the workouts better. Just stick with. I promise it will get better and easier. Before you know it, you will not only be able to finish Bum Bum with flying colors, you will also have the sexy beach body you’ve always wanted :) Keep up the good work!

  30. Bethany,

Thank you so much for creating this website! You look fantastic, and are such an inspiration! I heard about this program, and wasn’t sure what it was all about, and if it actually worked (as you said, you can look at success stories, but are they for real??) This gave me hope, and encouragement that it can work! I borrowed it from a friend, so I only have the videos, no shakes, or diet plan, or whatever else it comes with.
I started on the “Too Big – Slim and Lift Schedule” and I am just starting week 4. I don’t necessarily need to lose weight (at 29 years old, and 5’4″ I am about 122 pounds, which is probably just right for me – though I never think a few more pounds would hurt!) For me, my bum is big, and saggy, and my hips are a lot bigger than I would like. When I do some of these workouts, I can see the extra fat hanging on my thighs!! Not to mention the small, but visible little pouch that is covering the abs that I once had when I was a teenager! So far I am loving the program (and I hate working out)! Although I still weight the same, I do believe that I have lost an inch on my thighs. I feel like I don’t look too much different (however, my bf says he can certainly see a difference) but I tried the pencil test half way through week 3, and it didn’t stay!! That gave me another little boost of encouragement!
I just have a few questions for you. Since I don’t have the diet plan, I want to make sure I am doing well there. I do understand a lot about nutrition – fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, carbs, and good fats (basically stay away from anything packaged!) I have never really counted calories before, but I want to start, just to get an idea of what a normal day looks like for me. How many calories would you recommend that I intake in a day? As well, from your responses to other posts, you seem to really like the Classic schedule. Should I stop the slim and lift, and continue on with the classic. I do feel like I might be in the middle, fairly similar to your shape.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for being such an inspiration to me.

    Rachel

    1. Hi Rachel – congratulations on coming this far – that’s wonderful. You’ve already passed the pencil test -wtg! You should feel great about all you’ve accomplished in such a very small time frame :) As for diet for you, BBL suggests eating 1200 calories a day of a healthy whole foods in balanced ratios (think 40% carbs, 35% lean protein, and 25% healthy fat). After this week, I would definitely move on to the Classic schedule. Since you are already on week 4 and have gotten results, you should finish up this week. I do think the Classic schedule will help you get rid of the that little bit of thigh fat that you do see hanging on some of the exercises (I HATED that too, btw!), firm up your bum, and trim down the belly fat. Good luck!

  31. Hi Bethany,

It’s Maureen again. I have a question for you about the rotations. Do you know why they changed them? I was about to follow the Classic rotation that I got with my DVDs and I noticed that it’s different from the rotation that you have on your website. For example, Week 1 for the Classic rotation is now: Bum Bum/Tummy Tuck, High & Tight, Sculpt, Cardio Axe, Bum Bum/Tummy Tuck, High & Tight, Rest. In week 2, there is no Cardio Axe at all. So for some reason, Beachbody has removed some of the cardio from the Classic. In week 3, they’ve removed a couple of the Bum Bum workouts that were on your schedule.

FWIW, there are changes to the Slim (too big) rotation also.

I’m going to follow the Classic rotation as it is written on your web site because that was how you got your great results. But I thought I would let you know about the change and also I was wondering if you knew why the change was made.

  32. hello ma’am :)
its me again…back with some results & few questions..
its been two weeks since i started BBL (without resistance bands & ankle weights)

    belly : Week 0 – 40 inch, Week 1 – 39 inch, Week 2 – 38.5 inch
    hips : Week 0 – 38.5 inch, Week 1 – 37.7, Week 2 – 37.6 inch
    Butt : Week 0 – 41.5 inch, Week 1 – 41 inch, Week 2 – 41 inch (no change after week 1)
    weight : Week 0 – 176.37 lbs, Week 1 – 173.7 lbs, Week 2 – 173.7 lbs (no change after week 1)

    1) why didn’t i get significant changes in 2nd week (especially butt region)? is it b’coz of not using ankle wts & resist. band?
    2) Today I bought adjustable ankle wts (4.4 lbs). i’ll be starting with 2.2 lbs. for how long should i keep using 2.2 lbs before increasing the weight? (as you know i don’t want to bulk up my butt)
    3) i am about to buy resist bands. i am thinking of jumping directly to the red one, i think the yellow might be too easy. what do you suggest?

    Thanks in advance :)

  33. hi Bethany! your pics are awesome! You worked hard and it shows, Congrats!
I purchased the BBL dvd’s too– I love them! Unfortunately, I’m having a hard time sticking to a schedule.

I see you recommend the classic workout alot, I have lost the booklet with the combo workouts. would you instruct me on the various combos that can be done? and which would you recommend for me? (I’m 5’3 and 145 lbs, pear shaped, I would love to lose approx 15lbs and more importantly, would love to tone up! )

    thanks!!

    1. Hi Jackie – one of the things about sticking with any kind of workout program is that YOU have to be the one to decide to commit unless you will never reach your goals. I know it’s really hard to stick with any kind of program in the beginning when you feel like you’re not losing weight fast enough or showing good results overnight, but after a few weeks, it will become a habit where you’re looking forward (or at least well prepared to do) your workouts and you’re seeing real results. If you don’t stick with it, it will never happen.

I would recommend the Classic schedule for you, since you want to lose a fair amount of weight in 60 days, but more importantly, you’d like to tone up and slim down. Here are the BBL calendars. Good luck – if you have any questions, never be afraid to ask.

  34. Hello when I work out I usually run, do squats and lift weights 5 days a week. I am pretty fit and so is my butt, but when I start doing a lot of moving around at work I lose my butt so it looks like there is nothing there :( . Is this the Brazilian Butt lift a good workout to keep my butt from shrinking?

    1. Hi Melissa – BBL is good for any type of butt problem whether it’s too big or too small, because it has different schedules to follow depending on your butt type. If you need to build up your butt, follow the Lift & Shape schedule – it has the most butt-sculpting moves to get your backside higher, tighter, and more shapely without all the extra cardio if you don’t need to lose weight. Just be sure to use the heaviest ankle weights possible and also the heaviest dumbbells you can comfortably lift. It is building up muscle that is going to get you the more shapely butt you’re after. Good luck!

  35. Hi Bethany,

I just ordered BBL and am wondering which rotation to follow. I am 5′ 3″ and 140 pounds. I would like to lose 10-15 pounds and slim down my butt and thighs. I was thinking I need to follow the Too Big rotation, but I have noticed that you almost never recommend that rotation. You recommend the Classic rotation often. Do you think I should follow that one instead? I was leaning toward the Too Big rotation because it has the most cardio.

Thanks in advance. I really enjoy your blog and your bbl journal has been really informative.

    Maureen

    1. Hi Maureen – The Classic schedule is the plan I did when I was finally able to slim my hip area and get rid of a lot of fat that had sat there for many years, which is why I always recommend it – I know it works :) For the most part, it seems like whenever I’ve heard someone just doing the Pear-shape solution or Too Big solution, they say they’re not getting the results they were hoping for, but when they switch to the Classic plan, they start getting the results they want – not to say diet doesn’t play a HUGE role in results too! You’ll need to cut your calories down to 1400 and eat healthy, well-rounded diet.

A short breakdown on the two schedules: If you really want to work most on cutting down your overall body fat while getting a better butt, then the Too Big solution would work for you. However, if you’re definitely looking to slim down your hips and thighs while losing 10-15 lbs, then I would strongly suggest doing the Classic schedule. With what you’ve told me, I would suggest doing the Classic plan since you want to slender down your butt and thighs while losing weight, which I am quite confident you can do easily on this program. I hope that helps…glad to hear you like the journal :) If you have any questions, please let me know.

      1. Thanks Bethany!

I will start the Classic rotation today. I have too much fat around my middle, too, so I just thought that more cardio would be better than less, but maybe the Too Big rotation is more cardio than I need to see results (maybe the Too Big rotation would be better if you have more a lot weight to lose?). I just need to drop 10-15 lbs, and reduce my butt, hips, and thighs. I’ll start with the Classic rotation to see how that goes.

Interestingly enough, the BBL diet isn’t radically different from how I eat when I’m actually disciplined. It’s just that I get complacent and let unhealthy snacks sneak in to my diet or my portion sizes start to creep up and next thing I know, I’m pushing 140 lbs when I should be around 125-130. I work out 6 days a week at a pretty advanced level, but I somehow find a way to eat all the aesthetic benefits of my exercising right away :(

  36. Hey I just started working out to bbl and I just had a baby and I want to loose that weight n shape my body back do u think slim n fit would be the best way to loose weight in my thighs belly and hips?

  37. Hi Bethany! So glad to have stumbled across this page. :) Today is day one of BBL for me and your “revealing” pictures are quite the inspiration. I too have saddlebags (yuck!) and some cellulite on my thighs. I’ve already begun eating clean(er) and following the nutrition recommendations. I hope my results are as successful as yours!

  38. I’m just wondering about how long is each workout? I teach, I have a two year old, and I always have piles on laundry and paper to grade. How much time is devoted to BBL each day?

    1. Hi Roxanne, I would most days workouts average out to about 40 to minutes per day. A few days are longer and some are shorter, bbl is pretty nice too because a lot of the days you can do a short workout in the morning and then another later in the day. -Bethany

  39. Hello! Your results are amazing! I just started bbl pear shape 2 weeks ago. I’m kinda thinking I need to switch to the classic? I had a baby in September so trying to lose baby weight. I’m 5’3 at 140 and my ideal weight is 122. I signed up for teambeachbody.com and got a coach that isn’t active at the moment. How do I switch to you? I’m looking for motivation and accountability. I tried searching for you on the site but couldn’t find you. Please let me know how I can switch. Thanks a bunch!

    1. Hi Leslie – congratulations on your new baby! And congrats for deciding to kiss your baby weight goodbye. With what you’ve told me, I think the Classic schedule would give you the best results, because it will mix more cardio with just the right amounts of weight training to get you in shape in 60 days – probably to your goal weight.

I sent you an email about how to switch coaches.

      Thanks Bethany

  40. Hi, so I’ve wanted to order BBL for a longtime now. I’ve been reading a lot of the reviews, and almost all of them say positive things about this workout. My only concerned is that I think it may slim me down too much from my hips. I have a very square body. So I was wondering if this workout would help me loose inches from my waist, and get me a more shaped body.

    1. Hi Giselle – BBL is for all sorts of butt types, so you are covered. It will not slim you down too much, but it will round out your bottom and help you lose unwanted fat from your waist. Follow the Lift & Shape plan if you’re looking to add some oomph to your backside, and if you want to really maximize results, buy adjustable ankle weights that go up to five pounds on each ankle (start off light and work your way up week to week) and use the heaviest weights you can safely and comfortably handle. It is using the heavier weights that will really get you the shape you’re looking for while helping tone your abs. Good luck!

  41. hi…nice to see that it helped you. amazing results.
    i am male, age- 24yr, ht- 5′ 3″, wt- 82kg / 180.779 lbs (obese).

Problem area- BUTT (41.5 inch), waistline (39 inch), belly (40 inch), thighs (25 inch)

i looked for many exercises earlier and after a long time came across BBL which looks promising. i’ve never felt confident about anything like this before. it will reduce my weight, shrink my waistline and flat out my belly. GREAT!
Here is the problem, my butt is outward bound 41.5 inch (almost a bubble butt made of just fat), already kinda lifted (passed the pencil test), round (side view), my outer thighs are flat (not bulging out), its just my butt is bulging out. its very embarrassing since i am a guy. all my guy friends tease me for having a big round butt. i am kinda depressed.

i am about to start my bbl workout on monday. slim & lift is what i think is fit for me…i just want to burn max fat from my butt (like slim & lift prog. says) and make it flat (or less outward bound / smaller) and NOT make it a hot booty (like girls have) ;)

    my questions are:
    1) is it ok if a guy does BBL workout or is it just for girls/women?
    2) after reading the description of my butt do u think the slim & lift program is suitable for me?
    3) will it burn max fat from my butt & make it slim?
    4) i dont have dumbbells and ankle weights. will it affect my result if i dont use them?
    5) which prog did u follow?
    Thanks in advance. :)

    1. Hi adw, and congrats on your decision to get fit! To answer all your questions:

      1. It is absolutely ok for a guy to do BBL :) If you look on Beachbody, they do show men’s results as well women’s.
      2. I think Slim & Lift is okay, but honestly, I would go for the Classic/Combination schedule. It combines max amounts of cardio with toning exercises that will tighten up (and reduce the size of) your backside.
      3. BBL will definitely slim you down…probably more so for you than it did for me, since men tend to lose weight and build muscle easier than women.
      4. If you have the extra money, I really would invest in dumbbells ranging from 5-15lbs (5’s, 8’s, 10’s, and 15’s). Not only are they worth it for this workout to make the most of the weight training sections, it is also a long-term investment if you want to continue to lift at any later point in time. You may not even need five pound weights if you’re already strong enough to do rear delt flies with 8lbs – it’s just that those are really tough if you’re not used to lifting. As far as ankle weights, I do think they’d help, but your own leg weight may be challenging enough. Again, if you do have the extra money, I would definitely get the adjustable weight kind. While I know you don’t want to build up your bottom too much, it is tightening the muscle underneath that will help burn the extra fat on and reduce the overall size.
      5. I followed the Classic/Combination schedule, along with the supermodel slimdown. I almost always suggest it to everyone, since I think if you’re looking to lose maximum amounts of weight in the least amount of time, the Classic schedule is the way to go.

I hope this helps, but if you do have any other questions, never be afraid to ask. And just an fyi, you will not get a girl butt from doing the program…BBL uses classic weightlifting moves like squats and lunges to get your rear end looking better than ever. And don’t be depressed – you can easily get the butt you’ve always wanted by eating a healthy, reduce calorie diet and following BBL!

Good luck, and make sure to let me know how everything goes! :)

      1. Thank u ma’am for your reply. Yes your answers helped me clear my doubts.
I’ll be starting the classic / combination program from tomorrow, and after i get slim enough & feel confident that i got what i wanted, i will definitely send you my before-after pics with weekly measurements so that you can publish it and help many guys like me facing this problem.
        Thanks a Bunch. :)

      2. hello ma’am…i have some more questions.
I want to complete my BBL workout in the morning itself. so,
        1) Is it beneficial to do BBL on an empty stomach in the morning?
        2) How long should i wait to do BBL after i had food?
        3) After the exercise i sit and study for most of the day. will sitting around for most of the time affect my result?
        4) What should be my calorie intake every day for reducing max fat?
        5) i also drink a cup of plain milk (w/o sugar) in the morning. is it good or bad for fat reduction?
        Thanks in advance :)

Psst….1st day of workout was tough. After bum bum my lower body gave up, i was weak in the knees, legs were shaking and for the first time i felt my weight. And then came tummy tuck…its really a torture. But at the end i was happy that i completed both exercises (with lots of time-out).

      3. Hello again! Here we go:
        1. It’s okay to do BBL on an empty stomach if you’re working out first thing in the morning, but it’s not beneficial to your results in any way. The most beneficial way to work out is when you have the most energy. If that’s right when you wake up on an empty stomach, then go for it. However if you feel weak or nauseous any time while working out, I would suggest having a couple of eggs or protein shake a half hour before working out.
        2. It really depends on how much you ate. If you ate a full meal, you should wait to work out for at least an hour an a half. If it’s just a smaller meal, then a half hour to an hour. It really depends on your body and how fast you can metabolize food. I can’t work out within an hour and a half of eating a full meal unless I get a stomach ache.
        3. Sitting all day after working out will not affect your results. I worked an office job where I sat on my butt all day except when I did BBL. I tried to get as much walking in as I could possibly do, but it’s the workouts that are going to help you lose weight.
        4. For your height and weight, I’d recommend eating 1700-1800 calories. After a week, measure your results – if you didn’t lose any weight or inches, down your calories by 200 per day for the next week, and then see where you’re at. If you’re starving to death after eating less for several days, try upping your calories by 100 calories per day and see how you feel.
        5. If you’re drinking a glass of fat-free or low fat milk in the morning, that’s actually quite alright. If it’s whole milk, don’t do it!

PS – Congrats on making it through Day 1 – those workouts are tough…great job! Keep pushing!

      4. hello ma’am :)
its me again…back with some results & few questions..
its been two weeks since i started BBL (without resistance bands & ankle weights)

        belly : Week 0 – 40 inch, Week 1 – 39 inch, Week 2 – 38.5 inch
        hips : Week 0 – 38.5 inch, Week 1 – 37.7, Week 2 – 37.6 inch

      5. Hi adw- congrats on finishing your second week – nice job! As for your questions, here we go:

        1. Honestly, don’t get too worried about not showing drastic results in your second week. It could have anything to do with hormones or just what kind of food you ate the day before – the most important thing is that you did have measurable changes. In reality, we’ll always lose weight last from the place we’d like to lose it from first, which could be why you didn’t see any loss off of your butt. There are so many factors that I wouldn’t let it worry you. If you continue to remain in stasis weight-wise, then I would suggest cutting your calories and really taking a look at your diet.
        2. It’s great that you bought the ankle weights, and I do think that they will help you get even better results. They are what will help build muscle, which in turn, will help you slender down and lose the fat. I would use the lowest weight possible on the ankle weights and only move up once you no longer feel like they’re challenging you. It’s not really a measurable amount of time I can give you – it’s really about what feels good for you.
        3. I wouldn’t jump directly to the red resistance band – I would use the lightest resistance one, and then move up only when the lighter resistance no longer “works” your muscles.

I hope this helps – keep up the good work!

  42. I’ve read your blogs about the BBL and the Focus T25. I am 23 years old and although being active when I was younger, I rarely work out now. I am 5’1 and 120 lbs. My goal is to lose 15 lbs. Given my short height, even weighing 120 looks bulky on me. I am looking for the slim petite look and am wondering which program you would recommend for me. Time is not an issue for my workouts, just looking to finally be at my goal weight with my goal body after several years of wishing!

    1. Hi Amanda, both programs are great for beginners, so either is a great option for you. Here’s how I’d break it down into results: BBL will get you more of a ballerina type figure, while Focus T25 will have you looking very toned. Since you’re already small, I would think it really depends on whether you’d like noticeable muscle (think fitness model) or less noticeable muscle (think supermodel, but not emaciated). And with just 15lbs until you reach your goal weight, I think you could easily get there in the 60 days with either program as long as you watch your diet and daily calorie intake :) Good luck! If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to ask.

      1. Bethany- thank you for your quick response. Sorry to post again, but I have just a few follow up questions. I would definitely prefer the ballerina silhouette and have decided that I will be purchasing a beachbody workout disc. After reading on your site, I did some more research on the website. I didn’t see you mention it but I had found a set called turbo fire as well. I am looking to lose weight from all over my body – does BBL work effectively for that? Also if you know any info about Turbo Fire, would that be a better, more effective choice? Thank you for your help, much appreciated.

  43. Bethany! I’m hoping im just as successful following this program as you are! I’m done with making my little family and want to get into shape for an array of reasons. Following Classic schedule. Will this reduce my cellulite (i have it all over my legs :( ) Thanks for your time.

    1. Hi Sophie, there is no doubt in my mind that you can be just as successful as I was if you follow the program and eat a healthy, whole foods diet for the entire length of the program. Here are some other tips:

Definitely follow the 6-day supermodel slimdown, and try to stay away from starchy/grainy carbs after 2:00pm. I find that cellulite looks the least visible when eating mostly fruit and vegetable carbs, although that is not sustainable for more than a month or two so don’t plan on it for the long term. Drink plenty of water too and stay away from process foods and refined sugars. With BBL, this combination will have you well on your way to being cellulite free! For more information on diet and cellulite, you may want to read my article on how diet affects cellulite Good luck, and congratulations on your decision to get fit!

  44. Hi there. I have an unusual case as well. I’m 5’7″ and 115 pounds. I have a flat stomach and reasonable size chest and legs. (They aren’t sticks) But I really want a bigger butt and thighs. I want them to be tone and bigger if possible. Is there a BBL that will help with this?

    1. Hi Alison – BBL helps with all butt/thigh issues from too small to too big, so yes, it can definitely help you. You could either follow the Classic/Combination schedule, which would tone and shape you from head to toe including your bottom, or you could also follow the Lift & Shape plan that specifically focuses on rounding out your bottom and toning it up with less emphasis on cardio than the Classic/Combination schedule. My suggestion to help you get a bigger butt and thighs is to use the heaviest ankle and hand weights possible to really maximize toning and shaping. Good luck!

  45. Hello Bethany, I have had my butt lift DVD for some time now I also have hip hop abs. My problem is I can’t keep up with the moves and its seems so hard. If I can get myself threw the 1st week will it get a little easier? I really need to lose 30 pounds and tone my body all over. I also have an elliptical machine I enjoy using but have not been using it like I should. What should I do I really need to lose the weight!!

    1. Hi Tomikia – I would stick with BBL’s combination schedule – don’t worry if you can’t keep up with the moves – I had a very hard time in the beginning too. In fact, the only workouts I could make it through without pausing or walking it out for a minute or two were Tummy Tuck and High & Tight. My advice would be to just do your best. It doesn’t matter if you need to stop the workout or walk it out or even just do the moves a lot slower than they do, because that’s okay – the most important thing is that you “showed” up for the workout and that you’ve made the decision to lose the weight. The good news is that as you keep pushing yourself week to week, you will see improvements in your performance – you will notice that you lasted longer before having to take a break, or you could finally do as many lunges as they did. Just stick with it, keep pushing yourself, and there is no doubt in my mind you will lose those 30 pounds and look better than ever. Good luck!

    1. Thanks An, the DVDs are likely region 1 and 2 meaning that they will play in DVD players that play back these formats, region 1 and 2 are United States and Canada. So if you have a DVD player that plays region 1 and 2 DVDs you would be all set I think. -Bethany

  46. Dear Bethany,
I think you look fantastic in your pictures. I have a few questions about the BBL program as my goals are not necessarily typical (maintain or increase hips/butt roundness + tone/slim the rest of my body) I have a great metabolism, I lose weight very easily. I am currently very happy with my body shape as I am slim but still rather curvy and well balanced. I am 5 ft at about 98-100 pounds (reasonably in shape, no major complaints), I think this is my ideal weight as it is not difficult to maintain. As a latina Most workouts I do don’t give the results I want. They slim me down all over meaning I lose curves.
What I want to know is if the lift/shape schedule designed to increase my butt will also make my thighs bigger? If so, this would be undesirable for me because I don’t want bigger thighs.
I decided this was the best schedule for me because the first place my weight loss is noticeable is my hips and butt. Even though I slim down all over evenly, any decrease in hips/butt makes me look boyish and stick figure. I figured if I work on increasing my butt and hips and just mildly tone the rest of my body I will be able to obtain an all over toned body (maybe some slight decrease in fat) while still maintaining the roundness of my hips and things for a womanly figure. I do not want any increase in thighs though because mine already have a good size to them so any increase in muscle will make them look a bit big, if I lose some fat there it would be ok, if not I am fine with that as well.
I am on the right track, do you have any recommendations for me?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
    Kind regards Mary

    1. HI Mary, I almost always suggest the combination schedule, but in your case I do think the lift/shape schedule would be the best. As you are very close to your goal weight if not at it, I would suggest using photos to track your progress and if you see your thighs starting to get to big, we can make adjustments to the schedule, but I don’t think you will have to worry. The workouts in BBL are not quad oriented, you do hit your quads indirectly, but the exercise in bum bum and high and tight focus mostly on the butt and hamstrings. Hope that helps, Bethany

  47. Ok so I have an interesting problem I recently completed Insanity ( didnt lose weight but lost inches all over so I was happy) So i decided to start BBL-Classic Solution and within the past week i’ve lost 2lbs however I’ve gained 2inches around the lower abs/pouch area so I jus look fatter. Is it that BBL isnt right for my body? What do you suggest? should I do a hybrid instead

    1. Hi K, my first thought is what part of your menstrual cycle you’re on, because that much in one week sounds more like water retention than fat gain – it would be extremely difficult to gain that much fat in one week if not impossible. It could even have to do with what you ate the day before you took your measurements if it’s not near that time of the month. If you’ve lost weight overall, then I think you’re on the right track, and I wouldn’t worry about changing anything just yet. If you continue to gain inches, then look at your calorie intake – you are not allowed as many calories each day in BBL as in Insanity, and if you’re not losing weight and inches, then you’re not eating the right amount of food. While BBL will not shape your body the same as Insanity (it will give you a better booty undoubtedly!), it will give you a more streamlined look. Hope that helps.

  48. Wow, you look amazing! Im valentina, from Uruguay (south america), and everyone expects latin girls to have nice butts, but…i don’t. Iused to be skinny when i was 12, but then i hit puberty and well, now im 18 and i am 83kg, and im 6ft tall.
Summer is coming and it was so discouraging to look myself in the mirror and just dont like what i was seeing, so i decided to start Focus T25 Workout, today was my first day!
im just a bit concerned about the diet, since ive read most people drink shakeology and its too expensive for me to buy it PLUS international shipping. What would you recommend?

  49. Hi Bethany,
I am really inspired by your results.I got the dvd’s not too long ago but I can’t seem to motivate myself to start.I try bum bum and run out of breathe then give up :(.What tips do you have to keep motivated. Also what kind of meal plan do you follow because I don’t always end up eating junk food and I have noticed my eating habits sporadic

    1. Hi Nora – I would strongly suggest taking each workout at your own pace. I couldn’t do Bum Bum either when I started, but I just did the best I could and kept on moving throughout. It really doesn’t matter if you can’t finish the workouts – they’re tough…especially if you haven’t exercised in a long time. Don’t let that turn you away, because each time you work out, you will get stronger – until one day you will be able to do each and every move.

  50. Hi Bethany,

Wow! Such a difference. Congratulations on all your hard work! It paid off big time!! I’m just starting the BBL program, I’m currently on day two of the supermodel slimdown. I have a question about the Basics workout – a lot of the exercises are only done on one side. Are we supposed to stop the DVD and switch sides? Or just follow the DVD exactly as is. Also, I’m wondering about which plan to start after the 6 day slimdown. I’m definitely a pear shape, but have some excess weight to lose as well. Should I follow the pear shape program? I loved reading about your journey and I’m wondering if its possible for you to be my coach, and how I go about doing that. (I’m actually not sure how to get a coach on the website at all). Thanks for the inspiration! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    I guess I should add that it’s about 15 pounds I’d like to lose… Maybe 20. Thanks!!

    1. Hi Laurelle – thank you for your kind words, and congrats on starting BBL! To tell you the truth, I only did the Basics DVD the first day. I found it a little mundane the second time, which is when I stopped halfway through – plus, I think it’s more for getting a hang of all the moves. I wondered the same thing about doing the other side, so I paused it for a short time to do that. I believe the video is meant to be followed as is, but it didn’t make sense not to switch sides and get an even workout.

With all that you’ve told me, including how much weight you’re hoping to lose and your current shape, I would definitely do the Classic schedule. It should get you the cardio you need to help slender you down, while also shaping your butt nicely. If you do just the pear shape program, I am worried it won’t get you to where you want to be in 60 days – it may shape up your backside nicely, but it won’t get you as much fat loss.

And I’d love to be your coach :) – you can either email me at [email protected] if you already have a coach (which you would if you bought BBL from any place except a private seller), or you can also read my article https://thefitnessfocus.com/brazil-butt-lift/free-coaching-join-team-beachbody. Hope this helps, and I look forward to helping you on your own weight loss journey! Keep up the good work!

  51. Hi Beth,
Your results are truly inspiring and show that it works!
I have started after returning from holiday (pants were waaaay too tight…) but found it very difficult as rather unsporty person to follow. After the first cardio axe I thought I couldn’t move anymore lol.
Then I stopped for a week due to some house renovation going on (incl loooots of cleaning where I also thought this can count as work-out ;)) but now started again on my second day. Still, I find it difficult to follow 2 trainings per day so I was wondering if I just do one set per day in the beginning? The effect will be less fast but honestly I feel a slight improvement of cardio axe but after done that, I feel I’m also done…:S
What do you think, would that work too, just taking it all a bit slower? I find it very difficult as beginner to follow and this results in my motivation going lower :((
Hope you can give me some tip how I can customize it more to my needs.

    1. HI Chris, yes you can start with one workout and then when you get in better shape add the second on the days that is called for. The most important thing is starting the rest will fall into place! -Bethany

  52. Omg you look great…I just stated my bbl workout this week and was wondering did you do the classic combination work for the whole 60 days or did you switch up after 30 to another I have the exact same figure as your or close to it and want to know so I can look as skinny as you!!!

  53. Hello! Thanks for sharing your experience!
I am 24 years old and weight about 112 pounds, which means im skinny already, but unfortunately i have a horrible belly full of cellulite and some rolls on the sides. It is very hard for me to gain weight and I wouldnt really like to lose weight, just burn my belly fat and tone my legs, butt. Do you think this excersise program would be recomendable??

    1. Hi Mary – I think BBL could provide you with the fat loss you need, while helping you tone your entire body. Tummy Tuck is a killer ab workout, so if you’re looking for a sexy stomach, then BBL can get it for you. The trick for you will be finding the perfect calorie intake, only because you are looking to maintain your weight…just get rid of the fat. I would suggest following the combination schedule and eating 1200-1700 calories each day, depending on how tall you are. Good luck! If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to ask :)

  54. Hi!!!
I think I hv a pear shape body.My waist is thinner than my lower body.My butt is good size but loose,my biggest proem is my thighs. They are big n I feel embarrassed to wear my shorts.I bought my BBL from beachbody n jst stated with third week. So,far not much changes jst the fact that my body feels tight.Bum bum workout is kind of hard but, make you sweat a lot. With high n tight using ankle weight I feel the burn, even after workout.I’m doing the Pear shape solution, just wna ask if it is the right one especially if I wna really slim my thighs or should I stop using the ankle weights to prevent bulking my thighs??

    1. Hi Ruby – with what you’ve described, I would recommend switching to the Classic schedule, because the Classic schedule gives you the right amount of cardio mixed with the right amount of strength training to get you the slimmer silhouette you’re looking for – this means a higher, tighter tush and wearing shorts without any worries. Since you’re only on week 3, you may just want to start the Classic schedule at week 1. Also, make sure you watch your diet – eating a reduced calorie, whole foods diet is what will really help boost fat loss. Good luck! ps – ankle weights will not bulk your legs up – they will help you tone them :)

  55. Hi there. Just ordered the BBL. I don’t want to lose weight just gain muscle. My arms and thighs and butt are a problem area. What do you suggest about not losing weight? I’m already a zero just 45 and I need to tone, tone tone

  56. Omg, your results are amazing!!!!! I have always been thin and never needed to work out ( Untill the 5th baby). I began my journey to loose weight. about 8 months ago. I am 5’5 and was 147. I started with P90X, became extreamly frusterated with the instructure and quit prior to finishing the program. When I stopped I was at 128. Extreamly happy with my results, but did not reach my goal of 120. It has been 2 months off and I am ready to start the Brazillian butt lift. I am now 132lb and looking for extream wt loss. I am planning on doing the classic. I am hopefull to loose the majoriyt of the weight in 1 month. Do you think that is possible. What would you recommend?

    1. Hi Sherri – I think you have a really good chance of reaching your weight loss goals fairly quickly…although I don’t think losing 12 lbs in one month is sustainable or that realistic. Honestly, I would shoot for at least six weeks of BBL to get you down to your goal weight. That way, you’re not losing more than two pounds per week, which is healthy, sustainable weight loss you can easily maintain afterwards with either BBL Master Series or one of the lesser intense BBL schedules. My advice to reach your goal as soon as possible: definitely follow the classic schedule, do the Supermodel Slimdown, really watch your calories and what you’re eating (eat about 1400 calories of whole foods and get the proper ratios of protein to carbs to healthy fat), use the heaviest weights you can for each workout, use ankle weights for High & Tight, and don’t skip workouts! Good luck!

      1. Hi
I just bought a bbl program. I’m just wondering when is the best time to do workout?

Morning or evening before meals or after meals at night?

Can you please advise me. Thanks

        Aw

  57. Hello,
    Congrats on your success!

My question is, I work 12 hour shifts a day, and at the end of some of my shifts I have roller derby practise for an hour and a half, which gets my heart rate up, and lots of squatting. On those days, do you think I should still do my workout? My legs are already like rubber by the time I get home :P. I guess I could workout in the morning, but I’m not much of a morning person, and I just did a workout last evening.

Also, can you email me a list of what you ate? I’m getting tired of the food on the menu lol! I need different recipies!

    Thanks!

    Rachel

    1. Hi Rachel. I would recommend not doing BBL on the days you have roller derby, that sounds fun btw. Just pick up on the skipped day the next day.

Here is a link to a post I detailed my BBL diet on – https://thefitnessfocus.com/health-nutrition/my-sample-bbl-round-1-diet-detailed – If you have a Team Beachbody Club membership $2.99 a week you will get access to hundreds of recipes and be able to track you daily food intake easily. – https://thefitnessfocus.com/recommends/beachbodyclub

  58. Fantastic beautiful results!

I am getting discouraged. So far no weight loss and my clothes are more snug. I am starting week 4 today.
I feel like my legs are a little lifted but overall I just feel puffier. I’ve always had issues with bulking during workouts, if I focus on just diet I lean out more but I want some reshaping and really snug pants are a total ego buster. I was feeling encouraged but when I went to try on new pants, needing the next size up sucked the wind out of my sails.

    1. Hi Steff, I know it’s really hard not to, but please don’t get discouraged. You’ve already come so far – we can definitely figure this out. What BBL schedule are you doing? I would switch to the Classic schedule if you’re not already following it. This seems to slim people down the most. Are you eating healthy in BBL’s recommended calorie quantities for weight loss? I would make sure to eat really clean – all whole foods, including fruits and veges for carbs and only eat complex whole grain carbs an hour after working out. I would also try cutting your calories back by 200 per day to see if that helps you lose weight after one week. Of course, you need your healthy fats and lean proteins, but really focus on your carb sources this week in addition to cutting back your calories. Make sure to eat good ratios of protein to carbs to healthy fats and use weights for the workouts, because the weighted, repeated movements are what are going to shape you nicely and slender you down. And never forget, hormones can also mess up the numbers in a big way too, so that could also be a culprit. Good luck, and if you have any more questions, please ask :)

  59. Hey! I’ve just started on my third week and I’ve noticed results for sure .. I’ve been keeping track by taking measurements, etc. I’ve been happy with it! Yesterday when I took my photos, I feel like my lower back still has that “little kid chub” if you know what I mean by that? Overall, I’ve lost inches in the area but from the back it’s sticks out on the sides still and looks horrible to me! I don’t have a lot to lose, and as I’ve said I have been noticing great results. My question is, will this flatten out at all or just get smaller but stay rounded like that?? =\

    1. Hi Brie – congratulations on keeping track of everything and seeing such great results so far – wtg, girl! In reality, you always lose the fat last from the first place you want to lose it…it has to do mostly with that area usually having larger quantities of fat deposits. In my case, it was my saddlebags. Honestly, don’t let it concern you – you still have five weeks to get rid of that pesky back fat, and you’ve already lost inches in the area. There is no doubt in my mind this area will flatten by the end of the program…you are not stuck with permanent roundness in that area. :) Keep up the good work – you’re doing great so far, and good luck with the rest of program!

  60. Hi there, I started Brazilian butt lift on Monday so I’m on my fourth day but I’ve gained weight since starting. Is this normal? Did you gain weight in the beginning. It’s kind of descouraging. I don’t need to lose weight as I was 106 before starting the program. I too lost 60 pounds after having my 11 month old with turbo fire. But I decided to try something new and get my pear shape bum tighter and higher. Any advice?

    1. Hi Melanie, I really wouldn’t worry about gaining weight after only four days as body weight fluctuates so easily depending on water, hormone levels, etc. Remember not to get stuck too much on the numbers either – muscle weighs a lot more than fat. While I did not gain weight the first few days, I didn’t lose nearly as much as I’d hoped I would after the first full week, but the photos I took of myself on Day 1 to Day 7 really showed me how much the program was changing my body, including lifting my bottom and slendering down my pear-shape.

I would really suggest only weighing yourself once a week, take photos of yourself from week to week, and track your measurements. That will be a better indicator than weight. Good luck, and if you have any more questions, or if you’re still gaining weight eating the correct recommended calories, please let me know.

      1. I haven’t been losing any weight either, and have been worried, as I’ve been doing cardio – 300 calories on the eliptical. Excellent advice! Will put it into practice straight away. Did you ever miss a day?

      2. Hi Jena, well I never missed a workout per say, but I did play with the off day some weeks. What I mean is say I knew I was going to busy on Sunday and would have to miss my workout and my off day was scheduled for Monday, I would do Sunday’s workout on Monday and take the Sunday as my day off instead.

      3. Hi! Started the classic program today and loved it! I am curious about one thing. I felt the bum bum mainly in my thighs rather than my butt. Is this normal? Also I really enjoyed the tummy tight but am curious how I could make it a bit more challenging?

      4. Hi Shonna, Try going as low as you can on squats and lunges, but be careful to not let your knee pass over your toes. The lower you go the more you will work your glutes and hamstrings. Tummy tuck, focus on breathing and doing the moves in a controlled manner. No matter how advanced you are tummy tuck should be a challenge. Bethany

  61. Wow! You really inspire me. I’m on day three and its really hard not to quit. But I don’t want to quit. I’m looking forward to having the body of my dreams. And if I want it, im going to have to be willing to work for it. My everything is sore. Not so much my butt????? ? …. My bottom is okay but could use a makeover, it’s my saddlebags and thunder thighs that are the problem. my butt has always been a problem. Lol. :) Thank you for all the information and sharing your transformation.

    1. Hello again – First of all, congratulations for sticking to it! And second, thank you for your kind words.

Don’t ever worry or feel guilty about feeling like you want to quit – it’s totally normal. Sometimes the first week is the absolute worst…especially the first few days. If you haven’t been working out regularly or eating terrific, it’s really a transition period. Just keep pushing yourself, regardless of how badly the urge to quit becomes – remember, it’s mind over matter. I know how tough it can be to stick with it – I can’t even count on two hands how many times I felt like giving up.

In the beginning, I had to tone down EVERY workout or march in place to catch my breath. I couldn’t even finish Cardio Axe without taking a breather :) As for your butt not feeling as sore as the rest of you, it could just have to do with the fact that the rest of you is so sore you just may not be feeling it in your tush so much. As you grow more accustomed to the workouts, even adding ankle weights to the High & Tight workout or heavier weights to the Sculpt workout, you will definitely feel it more in your butt, hamstrings, and quadriceps specifically. I had bad saddlebags before with greatly disproportionate hips, and Brazil Butt Lift helped me feel confident again.

Some things that helped me stick to it were imagining how I wanted to look while working out. This was always a good reminder of what I was working for and kept me going strong when I was tired or didn’t feel like giving it my all. Another thing that will help keep you motivated is taking before and after pictures. You may even want to take weekly pictures if it’s not too much of a pain, but always keep weekly measurements – I found the weekly pictures helped me if my inches weight didn’t fluctuate too much. Sometimes your weight doesn’t change too much, but you lose tons of inches. I really wanted to quit after the first week because I didn’t lose a ton of weight or “feel” that it was all worth the work. Thankfully after looking at my before photos vs Week One, I was able to see how my body had actually changed, which really helped keep me going.

You will never get the body of your dreams without working for it, but with some hard work and dedication, you really will get supermodel sexy in 60 days:) Keep me posted on how things are going!

      1. Hi Bethany!
Congrats on your transformation! Def an inspiration! I doing the classic calendar, I was wondering if I should be doing cardio at the gym as well like 4 days a week? I am trying to lose 10-12 lbs, would just doing the videos and eating 1,200 calories a day do that?
        Thank you!
        Christina

      2. Hi Christina, if you follow the classic calendar BBL alone with proper diet should enough to reach your goal. If you workout too much you can overtrain and you will not get great results. 1,200 calories is the lowest amount of calories a person should eat. Lower than this and the body cannot funtion properly. For weight loss you should multiply your body weight times 10, this is the number of calories you should be eating as a baseline. -Bethany
